Well, I must say that my last couple of days went from so-so to fantastic. I had a huge migraine yesterday, and whilst ****** in bed feeling sore, sorry and slightly delirious from pain medication I had a call from the builder to advise that they're starting on site. I mustered up a pathetic "whoo hooo" but was feeling a bit too crappy to celebrate as I wanted to.
M from DFH advised me that due to the slope I'll need about 100mm extra on the slab near the garage to prevent water entry but from the gist of what my delirious mind took in, they won't be charging extra for it as it's not a huge amount. He's faxing me the details on Monday for me to sign off.
I drove down to the block today and had a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting a site cut, but got a whole lot more Piccies are below.

The first thing I saw was the rubbish skip and I got excited just seeing that. How sad is that?
I also met my soon to be neighbour from across the road, who was also taking pictures. He seemed quite pleasant which is always a good thing.
