I've been out to site, and a lovely forgetful tradie left the front door wide open so I got to go inside and take pics. I went with a friend who had a bit of a giggle when I got all excited at seeing the progress Since I last visited two weeks ago, my carpet has been installed, the shower screens fitted, ducted heating vents installed, venetian blinds hung and powerpoints all installed. Of course, I had to test the lights Here are the updated pics: Carpet Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Walk-In Robe Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Blinds Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Heating Duct Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ From what I can see, the only issues that need doing now (apart from a damn good dust & builders clean ) is installation of the HWS, appliances, split system aircon and dishwasher (part of my package). OMG, I am so excited I can't believe that they only started just over four months ago! Hopefully they won't drag out the final few items for a month or more Looks like I'd better reschedule some of my Body Corporate meetings at work as it looks like I may be moving in a lot earlier than I had anticipated. Of course, it's just my luck that I met a guy at a party a couple of weeks ago and we hit it off - draw back is he lives 10 minutes from where I live at the moment and the block will be about an hour away - d'oh!!!! Aren't you grateful to that tradie who left the door unlocked! We went to our house hoping that we could still come in.. but bad luck! I can feel your excitement... I'm sure you can't wait to have your house soon! Good luck and hope nothing would delay your handover... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! The floor tiles look really lovely. Nice laying job. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: They've started!!!!! 148Aug 10, 2008 8:38 pm Hi there Dana,
I must say, i have watched this thread for a while, and your place has really come together quite quickly. I must say .... the Jasper door ... AWESOME!! Re: They've started!!!!! 149Aug 18, 2008 3:26 pm Thanks guys for all your kind words It's always a bit nerve wracking picking colours and then hoping that they'll look good together.
I love the bath shape too donuts - my current bath in my rental is a weird height and length. I'm only 5'3" and I'm way too tall for it - I'm thinking it may have been a jockey's place I didn't get a chance to go down over the weekend as I was in Gippsland checking out my new guy's holiday house build down there - he's been doing it himself with some friends. I'm so cack handed at stuff like that I could only applaud him for what he's accomplished. I told him indoor plumbing has to be next - traipsing through trees to the portaloo at the back of the property with a torch when nature called was a bit of an adventure My SS rang me this morning to advise that there's only a few minor things to be done and we have arranged a walk-through for this Thursday at 10.30am. Naturally I got straight onto Kevin and he's going to come as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get a handover date on Thursday Now I just have to organize to re-schedule some Body Corporate meetings, arrange some leave, and volunteer some of my friends and family to help me move Dana -------------------------- Building with DFH - carpet installed! Re: They've started!!!!! 151Aug 22, 2008 4:48 pm Hi guys !
Boy oh boy, this has been a busy week. 3 body corporate meetings, a bad cold, very sore throat and PMS made for a very interesting week. Was probably just as well I couldn't yell at my Wednesday night meeting as the tool would have had a mouthful. Isn't it wonderful that on the day you feel like death you end up working a thirteen hour day I had my walkthrough yesterday with "A" from DFH and Big Kev. Kev found a few issues, but thank the Gods they were all minor cosmetic issues and should be easily fixed. "A" advised me that I should expect handover in about two to three weeks. If I hadn't been so sick I would have let out a war whoop. My colorbond fencing has been installed, and "A" advised that the HWS, split system, appliances and ducted heating controls will be installed on handover day. I arranged for my gas meter this morning, and somehow I think I'll be starting to pack over the weekend, but knowing me everything will be left to the last minute and I'll be in a complete tizz. Now, I just have to go and round up some "volunteers" to help with the move...... Dana -------------------------- Building with DFH - carpet installed! Re: They've started!!!!! 153Aug 22, 2008 5:03 pm Wow! Not long until handover, you must be sooooo pleased! Hope you are feeling better soon, sounds like you've had a rough week Happy at Home Re: They've started!!!!! 155Aug 22, 2008 10:54 pm Must be a nice feeling!!!
Handover very soon! Hope you get your house on time! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 |
