We said yes Re: Labs New Build 22May 21, 2013 9:07 pm Hi and welcome. I am loving your floor plan!!! I am especially jealous of your WIR but I think most of us ladies would be I too am building with Fairmont but on the other side of Adelaide and slightly rural in Mallala. Good to read how you have dealt with them. We have only just received our footings report so still in the very early stages. Shall remember all that in our future dealings haha Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. Are yours rectified? We have been told we can have them but pay an extra $1000 per room to have them laid because of the extra labour. We are also having a floating vanity. Are you paying extra with this too? Also have back to wall toilet and yes, another extra because of hidden plumbing. You have a lot of notes on the plan, are there any you would recommend? I can read some but not all. Have you considered gyprocking the ceiling of your alfresco? Did not cost us much and it looks great. Also means that they insulate it too... Re: Labs New Build 24May 21, 2013 9:46 pm Thanks Tash, I was told right from the start if i wanted to have a spot in the WIR that it had to be a decent size . Yea Faimontsa we are going rectified throughout and we did have to pay extra for it, by memory it was a PC sum of $1500 per wet area. I can’t remember paying any extra for the floating vanity’s, from memory I think Supreme Kitchens told me it didn’t cost anymore. We did gyprock the alfresco and got all internal walls insulated. With the notes on the plan they were all done at the final builders interview. We had a guy call Jonathon and he was fantastic. The biggest thing is to make sure everything you want is in writing and on the quote / plan that you sign. At the end of the day if it is on there they will have to do it. Yes... council have been so slow - we're in our 9th week now, so hoping to hear back by the end of Friday. We are definitely going to move our manhole to the garage as well, we contacted our consultant and he advised us to ask Jonathan at final builders interview. We're hoping he will be good/understanding to deal with! Re: Labs New Build 30May 22, 2013 7:56 pm Hopefully Onkaparinga pull their finger out... How frustrating it must be .
