We got our unconditional approval for land and build once we get our contracts. Colour session is booked for 5th dec adn 13th dec tender... they said contract takes 4 weeks after that. is that correct? I would love for the build to start in Feb as we are settling land in Jan... Does anyone know how long it takes for council / estate approval... Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Attended COSHAM 11Dec 07, 2012 7:15 am My thread So, the day came and went. So happy with our selection. We went to Cosham and there are so many standard options to choose from. We upgraded a few... but the rest are pretty standard. We took the silk finish cabinets for kitchen overheads. Chosee creme brule for the benchtop colour, hog bristle (half) for walls and natural white for the ceiling. Colour bond roof, deadbolt for main dorr, some electric upgrades, stain finish to the front door, extra door for ensuite, and leading to the other 3 bedrooms, extra cupboard in the laundry, basin in the WC, and took their cat1 fooring and carpet options. Enjoyed choosing the colours. All I can say is the colour we chose will make the house warm and bright at the same time. Chose brighter colour tiles in the bathroom. We also took some pot draws for the kitchen and added draws to the vanities in the Ensuite and Main Bathroom. Re: Henley Monaco options 12Dec 07, 2012 3:21 pm Excellent work Sunct.. glad you enjoyed choosing the colors and it all went smoothly.. We will be having ours in early january. your house will be nice and bright as you have chosen the neutral and light colours what makes you decide to go with colorbond instead of rooftiles? I am still undecided whether to go colorbond or not. Appearance wise, I prefer the look of a flat roof tiles. but people say colorbond would stand better in hailstorm... Also, do you go for sarking with the colorbond? not sure if it is a requirement in VIC to have sarking? I am guessing not... Re: Henley Monaco options 14Dec 11, 2012 12:09 pm Thanks booshoo. FND My husband worked with a roofing company. He prefers colourbond so we went with that. He said it looks neater and has less chances of damage. Guess its each persons preference. Sarking maybe needed only on the pitch if it's a low roofs. We will know during tender. As sarking is to be paid for if needed. Re: Henley Monaco options 16Dec 12, 2012 9:12 pm Good luck. No hidden costs and actually some reduction on prices quoted earlier so I was happy. Adding the basin to the WC option came to $1200 so that wasnt too bad... Other than around the range we had budgeted. Hopefully no surprises at contract and hope that bank approval goes smoothly. Re: Henley Monaco options 19Dec 13, 2012 8:39 pm Oh that's great sunct. Its great when the tender comes back within expectations. Good luck with your contract and valuations.
