Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 27, 2012 6:35 am We went to Cosham interiors information session for the first time on 12th August without knowing what to expect except knowing that we’ll have to go there with an open mind. The first thing that hit us was the plethora of choices one is presented with. The session is hosted by an assistant interior desinger. They would first cover the choices on exterior selections such as bricks, roof tiles and garage door followed by flooring, tiling, laminate color, benchtop color options for the interior of the house. At the end of the day we manage to narrow down the color theme to our house which would mostly be colors from the “Chocolate” scheme. We have currently decided that we like the darker Manhattan Venus Chocolate laminated timder look flooring and tiles to the laundry. Despite spending close to 4 hours at Cosham we walked away with more doubts than certainty on the color scheme for the house. we decided that at this point more work has to be done prior to the final color appointment estimated to be about 3 weeks from now. Re: First Visit to Cosham Interiors 2Oct 27, 2012 6:43 am we are oing for our appointment in 10 days.... feeling overwhelmed, but have saved pages of colours I like from mags so hopefully this may help. Do you happen to know which benchtop colours options are standard? Re: First Visit to Cosham Interiors 3Oct 27, 2012 10:44 pm Before our color appointment we went to cosham close to 10 times (every weekend, sat and sun) we were very much over it by the end but in all honesty it worth going several times before your color appointment and have your decisions ready then because on the day it would b very stressful making decisions then. Unless you're ready to make immediate decisions.. so my suggestion is go as much as you can before your appointment with your final decisions it will just make it all worth it at the end. The variety of choices just did my our head in. Why don't you find a display home theme that you like and tweak it. We went for the same theme as the Sahara Q1 in Clyde North and changed bits and pieces. Re: First Visit to Cosham Interiors 5Oct 31, 2012 2:04 pm We actually did quite bit of homework before heading into the color appointment, but the internal colors still took us a considerable amount of time. Our tip would be to look at the display homes and pick a color scheme you like and tell the designer during your appointment - they are pretty good at helping you decide. I'm not sure which caesarstone benchtop colors are standard but we chose Ivory which is standard. I think the more speckles you have on the caesarstone benchtop the more expensive it gets. There's about 36 colors to choose from but the initial one we wanted was actually discontinued - so we chose the closest one. Hope that helps Re: First Visit to Cosham Interiors 6Apr 23, 2013 1:21 pm Random newbie question: I gather that you can just go into Cosham and wander around at your leisure and look at things without having an appointment... But is it easy to understand exactly what is what (ie, what is category 1 tile vs category 3 tile, what is a standard benchtop and what would be an upgrade, etc) without having to speak to someone? I assume they'd be pretty busy. Oh, and the info sessions - is that something you contact them and ask about at whatever time, or does it get organised by the builder? It's labeled pretty clear which ones are standard whcih ones are upgrade. If you go there, and the consultants happen to not be busy, you can always ask them about the selections. You need to book the info session with your sales consultant/admin. Re: First Visit to Cosham Interiors 8Apr 23, 2013 1:44 pm Awesome, thank you!! - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. For an info session you will need to book an appointment, however you can casually wonder around without an appointment. We have done this many times prior to our colour selection. Good Luck!
