Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 26, 2012 11:31 pm Hi, just got our site soil report which states the soil is H1/P as a consequence of existing fill on site. There is a current brick on slab house on site in which we have lived for about 10 years and it was built about 25 years ago. Site was created and the "fill" done before house built. Is there some rule or standard which would help establish that the 25 year old fill is now stable? There has been NO movement (visible) in house since we moved in around 10 years ago and no new fill added to the site. Re: Help re site soil classification - 20 year old+ fill 2Oct 27, 2012 5:31 am The only way to establish if the fill is OK is physical testing. Are you sure the house is a standard brick on slab house? The slab may be supported on concrete piers which won't be apparent from external appearances.
