The SS said he'll have it done next week...gah. Anyway, meeting went ok. SS performance was better..still a little dismissive. Hopefully he'll get onto the list and have it fixed. Makes me wonder if i wasnt thorough enough haha Front looks lovely Re: WA - New Generation Homes (Pg 1 Timeline) - PCI COMPLETE 649Nov 08, 2013 7:42 pm *edit* And did our lovely SS behave with the inspector? God I hate to think how long our list will be when we finally get to PCI! Oh and don't forget about the vanadium staining on the bricks! Can't wait to see the bricks get cleaned. Re: WA - New Generation Homes (Pg 1 Timeline) - PCI COMPLETE 650Nov 11, 2013 11:06 am That is quite a list.. i think im going to have to be very thorough with my PCI now.. im sure you happy its over and they can get started on the fixing.. keys soon.. yay!! Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: WA - New Generation Homes (Pg 1 Timeline) - PCI COMPLETE 651Nov 11, 2013 4:46 pm Ha ha yes the SS did behave himself. The bricks have already been cleaned, they will fade away as time goes by apparently! Luckily I managed to go through the house quite a few times before PCI, so I picked out most of the faults beforehand. Wouldn't have been able to do it if I was put on the spot. Got the inspector report back and he picked up a couple of extra things in addition to my list and I've now forwarded that to the SS and his manager as well as the sales guy. Final look from the outside...thought I did pretty well to match the colours of the front door and garage! It wasn't until my cupboards were done that I realised I had meant to ask for horizontal grain instead of vertical - d'oh!! Apparently some other builders charge extra, but mine didn't luckily! Each to their own though...the reason I went with horizontal is because I felt it made the room a bit bigger (wider) due to the pattern going sideways *Shrugs* Build #2 Builder: In-Vogue Design: Custom 2 Storey Build #1 Builder: New Generation Homes Design: The Monterey My Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60453 Re: WA - New Generation Homes (Pg 1 Timeline) - HANDOVER SOO 658Nov 12, 2013 5:46 pm Hi jaymak looks wonderful, you must be very happy. I am pleased that it is nearly over to be honest...it has been one long journey. Don't know if I'll have the time or patience to build another one again, that said I'll never say never. It definitely has taken a massive effort on my part through the construction phase. Good luck with yours Build #2 Builder: In-Vogue Design: Custom 2 Storey Build #1 Builder: New Generation Homes Design: The Monterey My Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60453 Re: WA - New Generation Homes (Pg 1 Timeline) - HANDOVER SOO 660Nov 13, 2013 3:28 pm I think a lot of people who build are glad it is over at the end. It consumes so much time and energy and makes you think about your house everyday. Can imagine being mentally drained once it is done. Although time heals all and one day I could certainly imagine building again, something even better!
