A fair few items on the list wasn't fixed as expected...so I'll have to pound their ears. Have downlights installed, but won't show you guys until tiling is complete along with painting!

I have a quick question/problem..

I started the process of applying Dulux Sealer Binder on Saturday afternoon.

After thoroughly stirring the pot, I proceed to pour it out into the tray and then use a roller to apply onto the wall.

My initial 10-20 rolls seems to bubble quite severely, as it looks like it is leaving air particles on the wall. Gradually this effect goes away the by the 20th roll I apply using my roller. Now some parts of my wall have dried leaving lumps onto the wall which I'll have to sand down really deeply.

My question is...is this normal? I know I need to sand it down but if I can avoid doing a massive sanding job that'd be great.

Any advise appreciated.

My painter days this happens when plasterer has used too much lime. He has some issues few spots in my Josie but said he stripped it off and I think patched it and went again.

Yaaaaaay congrats for finally getting keys Jay, what was in the box from New Gen? Summit better be giving us something good lol.

Maybe you need to use a different roller for the sealer? We're interested to hear if anyone else has a solution as we'll be doing it in a month if all goes to plan!

I have tried using differet nap thickness (as low as 2mm nap and also foamies) but the wall still refuses to absorb the product without us going over it with a brush...I am about to pull my hair out...

Is there a problem with the product? That seems to be an extreme reaction! If it's the result of the white set I'd be contacting the builder for a solution. At least check with them what they would use.

What a pain.

Ended up having to get an electric sander and sanded down the lumpy parts and redo the coat by using a roller then smoothing it out with a brush as it was the only way...lime content too high in some of the walls for it to absorb the stuff.
