Though it comes up quite grey in this pic, I've been trying to find a light grey for our render, we've gone with shale grey for the moment but thinking we can re-paint later if needed, it's not like the front is going to be particularly large! Re: APG Yangebup build- so close to the finish line! PICS 83Dec 20, 2012 2:48 pm Absolutely gorgeous!! I love surfmist! And alway always love photos! The more the better!!!! We are at almost exactly same spot! We have been told pci the week of 14th jan! Jen Building with HomeGroupWA (started as Scott Park Homes ) - Grand Wisteria Check out my Build Thread!! I can't believe we're at the same spot Enelya - we've been told that we won't get keys till end of FEBRUARY!!! How cool that you'll get yours middle of January, I'm a bit jealous tstr1a, the dark render colour is Dulux Colourbond Woodland Grey. Fmac, Greys are really hard colours to choose. We originally went with Shale Grey for our roof but then decided to go with Surfmist instead. I think the Surmist Render looks alot different than you'd expect as the walls around it are Dulux Stone and it's reflecting onto the Surfmist... We've just had a phonecall from our CSO and we've got a problem with our Pop-up powerpoints (AGAIN!).. Despite picking out Silver Covers they have now told us that they only come in black!!!!! Probably the only issue we've had with our build are with these powerpoints and now I've had to tell the Builder that there is no way we'll have 2 black circles on our white kitchen bench. They've been great so far and agree that it's not acceptable - they're trying to sort it out so that's promising! I've found a good solution (probably better than the ones I originally picked) so lets hope they work it out! Re: APG Yangebup build- so close to the finish line! PICS 85Dec 20, 2012 5:41 pm We should have keys late jan early feb. hopefully as we booked painter from the 4th! Being 2 story you might take a little longer I guess! But not to bad! When did you start construction? I love surfmist roof! So striking! It's the perfect external white colour I think! Still keys end of feb is not far at all!!! PICS 86Dec 30, 2012 8:28 am Hi bbuilder2012, Firstly what a gorgeous house and so well put together.Congratulations. Came across your thread (and have sat here andread the whole thing) as I am looking at similar render colours to yours and need to decide quickly because my head it hurting from thinking about them so much : ) Actually a lot of choices are similar as I have charcaol, white and silver featured bathrooms and kitchen is also white and greys If you dont mind can I as you a few qu's Just to clarify do you have any Dulux Dune on your external walls at all or is the main colour Stone. Am going to bunnings today so might go and get a sample pot of that as well. Love the woodland grey features too!! What colour are you painting the house internally? What colours are you ensuite vanity and laundry cupboards? Re: APG Yangebup build- so close to the finish line! PICS 87Dec 30, 2012 10:58 am Hi Bendo! Thanks for the nice comments - we obviously have great taste Render colours are the hardest to choose - I don't know how many times we changed our minds! In the end we bought sample pots and painted them onto a sketch of the house, I felt like I was back at school! Anyway, to answer your questions: The main render colour is Dulux Stone, the Dark contrast is Colourbond Woodland Grey and there is a small amount of Colourbond Surfmist render (around the three horizontal windows on the top floor) Internal paint colours are yet to be decided, it's next on the list of decisions though Will be having a few wallpapered walls though! The ensuite vanity is Wilsonart Erable Wenge (both fronts and top). The photo of the laundry is when they installed the incorrect cupboards - they were Wilsonart Riga Ember. They were gorgeous but they couldn't do the top we wanted so we had to change it (the builder installed the wrong ones and had to replace them) They're now the same as the ensuite. Hope this helps - let me know if you need anything else Re: APG Yangebup build- so close to the finish line! PICS 88Dec 30, 2012 12:38 pm love your house just went through the thread love the little ompa door Re: APG Yangebup - getting there but electrical probs! PICS 89Jan 09, 2013 10:52 pm Well, we're slowly getting there but we're having a few drama's with the electrical work! Ggrrr... First off, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom isn't in the right spot (it looks odd). They haven't installed a light switch either - just the fan remote mounted on the wall. That's just plain weird. The wrong rocker plates were installed on the light switches. But the biggest problem is my beloved pop up power points! We ordered 2 pop up power points in the island bench, which were meant to have brushed aluminium covers. The first set they ordered were completely the wrong ones.. and the second lot were the right design but they don't do them in brushed aluminium!!!! ONLY BLACK - not a good look on a black benchtop.... So, to cut a long story short - despite the addenda stating they are brushed aluminium covers - they want to charge us $1,100 to get some different pop up power points that have aluminium covers.... We've told them in no uncertain terms, this isn't acceptable and they're going to get back to me tomorrow! Other than that, plumbing is finished, air conditioning is almost done (except the Electrician installed the unit on the WRONG side of the house!! Why do Sparkies hate us ) Still no update on when we can expect keys but we're getting there. Couldn't help but notice it matches your house!! Jen Building with HomeGroupWA (started as Scott Park Homes ) - Grand Wisteria Check out my Build Thread!! Time line on P1. We'll find out today hopefully what will happen with the pop up power points... I am determined we won't pay a cent! Re: APG Yangebup - getting there but electrical probs! PICS 92Jan 10, 2013 6:30 pm Just had the builder confirm all the problems will be rectified at no cost to us! I should think so Re: APG Yangebup - getting there but electrical probs! Just wondering if they have to give you a completion date once you have done PCI? Any info would be awesome - I guess we really need to start thinking about moving!! Just wondering if they have to give you a completion date once you have done PCI? Any info would be awesome - I guess we really need to start thinking about moving!! depending on what needs to be repaired from your PCI inspection, generally you should have the house within 2 weeks from PCI. Re: APG Yangebup - PCI today, quick question if I can?! 97Feb 04, 2013 8:15 pm Funny how we can get excited about packing, given the right circumstances Re: APG Yangebup - PCI today, quick question if I can?! 98Feb 05, 2013 9:22 am Very true Treesea! PCI went really well, we had a heap of relatively minor stuff to be done and our SS was more than happy to get them all fixed. Looks like we'll be getting our keys in 2 weeks!!! If not a bit earlier according to the SS!! It was an exciting day, and now we really need to get our backsides into gear The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 8836 Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
