Re: Anyone building with beechwood Maitland Region 5Dec 02, 2012 5:08 pm Build again- that's great news we haven't started building yet, just waiting to go to council.. Re: Anyone building with beechwood Maitland Region 6Dec 02, 2012 6:44 pm We have nearly finished building the Merlot with Terrazza, just got the main floors to be covered and some final touches on the painting, but will definately in before christmas. How far along are you? Re: Anyone building with beechwood Maitland Region 7Dec 03, 2012 8:09 pm That's very exciting you will be in before Christmas We are Just about to go to council, however we started planning back in May. It's been a long process but hopefully it will be worth it. Have you got any advice to give or What I may need to look out for, as this is our first build and any advice would be much appreciated Re: Anyone building with beechwood Maitland Region 8Dec 11, 2012 9:21 pm Yeah its getting close now, all that is left is the electrical fitoff which is tomorrow, appliances and hotwater installed and then carpet this weekend .. We have been told Wednesday the 19th we will do our walk thru at 10am, and then at 2:30pm go to the beechwood office and pay them and get our keys!! The only real advice I can think of, is really double check the final plans you sign off on, we had a sliding door put in on the rear of our house, and chose which way we wanted it to slide, and we didn't double check the final plans and it is now the wrong which to we wanted .. And also make sure you go walking thru your house during the build, they missed a niche in our main bathrooms shower and gyprocked right over the frame for it, luckily I called in on my way home from work daily and picked up on it Our journey started last October, when we decided on going with Beechwood and decided on the merlot with terrazza and got our first tender drawn up, its been a long time coming but finally we are nearly there Good luck with your build and I hope it all goes to plan and goes super quick, its so exciting seeing each stage come together!!! You should come over to the "Who is building with Beechwood?" thread - there is quite a few of us in the Hunter building with them, and all up to different stages. Very informative and helpful!
