So glad they let me take the displays home to pick a colour! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1462May 08, 2014 12:09 am Need some terminology help in our addenda it states that the kitchen rangehood is FLUMED. We were in the roof tonight as we are having some rain issues and noticed that all the bathroom and toilet exhaust fans connect up to the roof but there doesn't seem to be anything above the kitchen rangehood. Will have a better look next time but just wonder what flumed actually means? I assumed that meant it was going to be connected to the outside air but seems I'm wrong?? Anyone know?? Oooohh and kitchen and laundry cabinets booked in for the 22nd!!! study nook the week after....can't wait!!!! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1463May 08, 2014 1:14 am I'm interested in the answer to this too - I thought the same as you. Although my last place the range hood didn't even go into the ceiling - it was a box with a fan and then there was a cupboard on top of it. Can't wait to see your cabinetry. Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1465May 08, 2014 9:06 am "Flumed exhaust fan" means it will go directly outside, NOT into your roof space. I am pretty certain kitchen exhaust fans & rangehoods have to be flumed by regulation, you can choose either way (flumed or unflumed) in other rooms such as bathrooms & WC's Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1466May 08, 2014 9:26 pm Flumed does mean externally. On our 6 months maintenance inspection we discovered our ensuite toilet exhaust wasn't flumed as shown on the plans, and required by council. I'd be following it up! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1467May 13, 2014 10:40 pm Thanks Kat for the details for your cabinet makers, I'm really happy with their quote for our computer nook Can't wait to see some more pics of your place, I hope you have settled in Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1468May 13, 2014 10:58 pm No worries they have been pretty accommodating and helpful for us so far! It's really good to know that the structure and design of the cabinets will match the rest of the house 100% as well! We are slowly getting there with the house...need someone to brick up our letterbox and planterbox out the front but the quotes are 1000-2000 just for a day and a half's labour....not impressed Trying to get into the decorating but can't find what I'm looking for and have given up on a coffee table...can't find what I want! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1469May 13, 2014 11:06 pm I'm worried as we haven't had any quotes for our letterbox/planter box etc....I'm thinking we may have to hold off for a bit after hearing your quote!!!! There is nothing more annoying than not being able to find what you want re furniture!!! Good luck, hopefully the perfect piece will appear when you least expect it Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1472May 14, 2014 12:01 am We finally started to finish off our kitchen an laundry today!!! This is how it looked this morning: http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_095554_zpsl0jt3wpa.jpg This is how it looked after 2 lovely boys from character cabinets worked their butt off. Unfortunately they ran out of time to fit the pantry door and polish the cabinets but they need to come back and fit the study nook cabinets and all of the handles for our house anyway. Hopefully within 2 weeks!! still need to finish tiling and put on stone benchtops. http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_182217_zpsp86byaso.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_182039_zpsjpzquygi.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_182357_zpsm8qmimc8.jpg I had no idea what the bins looked like so thought I'd let anyone who's contemplating them have a look: sorry about the cat...In every shot... http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/20140522_183207_zps3tvv16gg.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_183236_zpsyuzbbxlb.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/xxkat86xx/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_183223_zpsznyiogtm.jpg there's a handy shelf thing at the top too! Had 2 guys come round this morning to pour the footings for our letterbox and planterbox. Very professional duo and so far would recommend them! They will be back next sat for brickwork Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1474May 22, 2014 10:39 pm Omg!!!!!! That is the most stunning kitchen I have ever seen!!!! I love it!!!!!! Well done Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1475May 22, 2014 10:43 pm What colour paint have you used for your feature and main wall colour? Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1476May 22, 2014 11:07 pm Wow your kitchen is a masterpiece Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1477May 22, 2014 11:21 pm WildwoodDream What colour paint have you used for your feature and main wall colour? It's solver southwards 50% for the main walls, trims in 100%. The dark paint is solver iron ore laminate series. It's a match to formica iron ore We initially painted it to match formica charred oak gloss but thankfully it's discontinued because we now have cuban wood gloss which is even better for our house! Really good match with everything. The little sample seems a lot more black/grey than a large piece. It's still got a hint of brown in a large sample but that could just be reflections? Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1478May 22, 2014 11:26 pm kitchen looks amazing Kat, you nailed it Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1479May 22, 2014 11:59 pm Wowsers, your kitchen is stunning!
