Wish I centered the downlights to the window...they are 100mm or so off as they are centered to the rest of the kitchen. Other problem is the blind. It looks unfinished at the top but not sure how or what to do to it. Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1484May 23, 2014 9:13 am AKB Love love love your kitchen !!!! Amazing the difference Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1493May 23, 2014 9:51 pm only 1 word for that kitchen 'WOW' Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1494May 23, 2014 10:39 pm Beautiful big kitchen! I don't think anyone but you would notice that about the down lights. And isn't that how all roller blinds look at the top? Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1496May 23, 2014 11:39 pm Wow Kat, looks incredible!!! Did they do cabinets in your laundry also. definitely going to get them to quote up our IT nook in the kitchen. Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1497May 24, 2014 2:38 am Yep they did the laundry too but it's so difficult to photograph! Once its finished ill try and get one They will be back on Wednesday to do the study nook, pantry door and handles. We did save some money doing it this way but with what we have been through with an incompetent cabinet maker who has disappeared with 5500 of our money it so wasn't worth it for us. I'm so glad we have used the builders cabinet maker now as everything matches and we feel as though we can trust them. If I were to do it again I'd be happy not adding in any extra cabinets during Prestart but I would want to get the quote and drawings done by the same cabinet company at the time Prestart is finalised. That way you have walls, windows and door frames exactly where you need them. The roller blinds are normal but I just feel as though it needs something...maybe once the bench and tiles are in it will look more finished Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1498May 24, 2014 4:06 pm Love your kitchen and your pendant lights which I have just bought for my new kitchen I wanted to ask you a question about the height your lights hang to above the bench, as I have been worried mine will hang too low. We have 1.27m clearance from bulkhead to bench top and tend to think we might need to shorten the cord on our lights a bit more compared to yours Looking at your photo I wondered how low do yours hang, would you mind letting me know what the clearance is from the bottom of the pendant light to your benchtop? Thanks heaps Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1500May 24, 2014 4:36 pm The bottom of the lights are 70cm above the bench which is the same height as the bottom of the overheads if that makes any difference. The bottom of them is about half way as they are 75cm from the ceiling which is a 28c bulkhead. I've seen these lights at various heights in photos on here and they always seem to work no matter what the light they give out isn't all that bright so don't rely on them as your only light source in the kitchen
