Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 09, 2012 5:31 pm Hi, We are currently negotiating for a new plot near Adelaide and wanted to check how much maximum can we build on that? The plot area is about 330sq mtrs. There are confusing views we are getting from different builders. Most of them say we can build about 150sq mtrs while one of them is saying we can build upto 170sq mtrs. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Cheers. Re: How much can you build on a plot in Adelaide? 2Oct 09, 2012 8:03 pm Don't ask the builders, as they would not know for sure but just give you some 'general number' they think is the most common. It is probably slightly different from council to council and depend on things like minimum setbacks as well as maximum site coverage. So your best bet is to have a look in the development plan of your council or to give your council a call and ask them.
