Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 07, 2012 11:08 pm As we haven't included the cost of the crossover in our contract with our builder, our bank is asking us to provide a quote for getting the work done, and then evidence that we can afford to pay for the job. Where do we start?! We were just planning on arranging a cashy with the contractor that our builder uses for doing the driveway, but now we need a formal quote, which the contractor won't provide for us, apparently... Don't really want to add this to our contract, because at a price of approx $3000, we'd be bloody mad to do so! Thanks Re: Our bank needs a quote for getting the crossover done... 2Nov 04, 2012 3:35 pm Have a chat with the estate sales rep. There could be an opportunity to more competitive pricing if one company gets a foot in with the development and can do a string of houses together. Thanks for reminding me too - I excluded paving from our house quote as we'll be putting down liquid limestone, and I'll need to get them to factor in ground prep, subgrade etc to suit. We have the footpath on our side of the road. You? Important to make the builder responsible for reinstatement of crossover as modified during the build. Otherwise you'll be up for costs of curbing and footpaths too. Re: Our bank needs a quote for getting the crossover done... 3Nov 05, 2012 5:36 am Do concreters do cashies for crossovers? Given the concreter requires a certain limit of public liability insurance and you need a building permit to do it I thought they usually did cross overs on the book. $3000 is a fairly normal price, they have to: Get the permit, cut out the old kurb and channel cut out a new section of kerb box up and concrete old kerb and channel box up and add new cross over and kerb and channel. My brother did mine and ours a a 1.5 crossover, in materials and permits it was around $1100. Took a few hours to cut out and box, few hours to pour and finish plus tip fee's etc. How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at? Have you fully drawn down the loan? 5 11893 hey there! π so, itβs kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20890 I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14303 |
