No rain delays and only a 3 week delay for the brickies while they finished another home and took an extended break over Easter. 7 months was pretty good, the contract had handover mid December. Each builder and house design is different, though. A lot will depend on the availability of products and trades. Is yours taking a long time? We are OB and have been lucky to have had everything happen pretty quickly considering the size of our house and the fact that we are doing any work we can ourselves (with the help of my dad who is a builder). We started building in November last year and we are almost at lock up Fingers crossed we will be in the house by Christmas next year as we are doing almost all the finishings (except cabinetry, electrical and plumbing) ourselves.
