I'm really happy with it. I do wish we pushed the alfresco out just a little more but very glad we added the extra 50cm around. Couldn't take pics as it was too late. Can't wait to get in and play!! But the realisation that we have PCI in the morning is starting to set in! I have no idea what I should even be looking for, so much for being well informed!! Enjoy the last few parts of the builders works Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Wednesday 1113Aug 07, 2013 8:22 am Hope everything goes well today. Goood Luck! My Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64881 Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Done and dusted 1114Aug 07, 2013 11:13 am So PCI has been done and we have tentatively booked the final inspection for Wednesday 21 August. Means I have to move things around and hope the painter is still available! I have also had to ask if they will do handover with just Gareth. While I would love to be there I had to take today as a day of leave without pay and I can't really afford another. Does anyone know if builders allow this? I have emails the CL to ask. No major issues but I have a question for those with 20mm essa stone, has the underside still got the writing and stuff on it? Ours does and the SS says that's standard.... No major issues, a few nicks in door frames to be repainted, the tiling around the bath is terrible, the seals around the bathroom and ensuite sinks, dirty toilet, still waiting on linen sliding doors. Think that is about it. I don't think our slab was completely flat before the vinyl planks were laid but don't think there is much we can do with that one. In regards to the cool touch oven door we had an email from the CL to say that they are in touch with the manufacturer about it, not sure what they will do except confirm that it isn't cool touch! I didn't take any pictures, I forgot till we left the OH tools some but I think it was more the damage that needed attention. Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Done and dusted 1115Aug 07, 2013 2:03 pm Glad that you had PCI but that there some issues, hopefully they fix it all up. They only need one to sign as far as I know As for oven mine has the warning sticker on it like you mentioned and my 21 month old girl can put her hands on there and its just warm. So prob just caution perhaps? Hopefully it will turn out alright Glad there wasn't anything too major to be sorted Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Done and dusted 1118Aug 07, 2013 2:38 pm Thanks everyone. I was actually impressed by how little there was considering what I have read of others experiences! The only really major one is the tiling around the bath. Since I didn't take internal pictures, the OH did but they are all up close and I don't have the camera, I have a coupe of the front, alfresco and the view I'm not convinced the garage door is the colour we though, I expected a bit darker I'm pretty happy with it Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Very glad we added the extra paving to the alfresco, kind of wish we'd gone a little bigger again but you get that Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Done and dusted 1119Aug 07, 2013 2:39 pm You just had to throw that backyard view in the end didn't you Build #2 Builder: In-Vogue Design: Custom 2 Storey Build #1 Builder: New Generation Homes Design: The Monterey My Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60453 Re: Our small build (NOR WA) - PCI Done and dusted 1120Aug 07, 2013 2:43 pm What colour is the garage ment to be?
