Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 01, 2008 6:41 pm Hello everyone,
Since my earlier posts a lot has happened, the site has been boxed up ready for the pour, which at this stage is going to be tomorrow, unfortunately there is a forecast for a shower or two that will develop into rain periods tomorrow. A guy on site today said they will pour rain, hail or shine. I was just wondering what the implicatons may be if they do pour the slab in the rain or if it rains within the first 48 hours of the pour? Do they usually protect the slab if rain is forecast so that no damage occurs? Thanks in advance. Ratter. Re: Pouring slabs in the rain? 2Apr 01, 2008 7:21 pm I heard that light rain/drizzle is actually good for your slab. Heavy pouring rain probably not a good time to pour slab.
Any type of rain after 48 hours of pouring shouldnt be a problem, i think. talk to your supervisor if you are anxious. Re: Pouring slabs in the rain? 3Apr 01, 2008 8:45 pm Hi
