Or should I change the shale grey to windspray? Roof: Colorbond Shale Grey Bricks: Austral Grange Gutters: Shale Grey Fascias: Surfmist Roller door: Surfmist Downpipes: Shale Grey. Render to nib out: Wattyl colorbond windspray (or similar) Window frames: white Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 82Nov 08, 2012 10:17 am It is so hard to know what to put together. I picked paperbark for the roof and classic cream for the gutters which look quite different on the colour chips but now they are on, the roof looks almost the same colour because of all the light reflecting off of the roof. Oh well Try this link to Fairm0nts home visualiser http://www.fairmonthomes.com.au/onlinevisualiser/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 83Nov 08, 2012 10:52 am Thanks for the link... I've used it before but I don't really like it. They are very true with the colours, for example, surfmist looks grey on the roof! The Austral grange brick is a lot darker too, and more brown. Do my selections sound okay? Thanks! If I were you I woudn't change roof to windspray, it's too dark. May be if you make fascia shale grey instead of surfmist....anyway did you check colorbond visualiser? http://colorbond.autech.com.au/onlinevi ... esidential Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 86Nov 08, 2012 5:10 pm Thank you awesome neighbour I've had a look at it, but the colours are much darker than they actually are, and they don't have my brick. Lol. StudioM (the link I gave you) is more helpful because there is a similar brick. I think the shale grey is okay, just not sure what colour render to have. Thank you Sorry about all my stresses. I've had such an awful day regarding our build. Land title office is taking too long which is therefore still putting off council approval. Which is putting off our full financial approval. Our mortgage guy is worried it won't be done in time for settlement. I want a light roof to keep the heat down, but dosn't suit our favourite bricks (PGH bluestone) The website colour tools are a good guide, but as you said has alot of variation in the colours. We have been driving around new subdivisions trying to find our style. But again has been difficult given we arn't going main stream. I've chosen surfmist roof color for the same reason! and to be honest I don't really care much how the exterior look like, it's not that important as we will be living inside and won't see it as far as it's functional Regards Ragnar's wife Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 91Nov 12, 2012 6:55 pm You both make a good point about the heat and the roof colour! I think we'll be sticking with the shake grey and austral grange Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 92Nov 13, 2012 6:51 pm OMG.
