Is it too green? I'm wanting something that looks like my inspiration kitchen on the previous page. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/sammymac_49/5E0C632E-755F-484C-8AA0-58FB6C7073E3-2090-000002F6325E4F7F.jpg Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 24Oct 04, 2012 8:56 am On my screen it looks just like your inspiration kitchen pic, it doesn't look too green on my screen. Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 25Oct 04, 2012 9:02 am Awesome! I was worried that it was too much colour! I've steered away from a grey/silver splashback after our colour drama! We are having Smartstone star black which also has a touch of sparkle <3 Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 29Oct 04, 2012 10:33 pm I think the splash back colour looks similar to the inspiration kitchen too. If you are able, perhaps you could take it with you to a display village, lots of the displays have that colour glass, and hold it against the display glass to compare colours and see what it might look like 'in the flesh'. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 30Oct 05, 2012 1:21 pm I need some more help please! How should we have our kitchen set out? Option A http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/sammymac_49/D6B82F8F-F238-4BB3-B832-EAF16693E809-3144-000003D7FAC5F65E.jpg Or Option B? http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/sammymac_49/7DB7B988-2860-411A-A196-22DD7E0E3046-3144-000003D80F409E47.jpg And should we swap the pot drawers around to have the 3 pot drawers next to the cutlery drawers and have the 2 pot drawers next to the pantry and corner cupboard? Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes in Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59776 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 34Oct 05, 2012 10:22 pm option b will give you more bench space rather than trying to work in the corner (plan a) which would be better for placing items such as tea/coffee cannisters etc. It depends what you want to put in the drawers as 3 pot drawers wont be as deep as two. So if you plan to put saucepans in the deep ones they will be better near the panty so that you can put cups, glasses, plates directly from the dishwasher into the set of three drawers. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 35Oct 06, 2012 2:54 am Im so unsure! Option A is like a normal set up, but I don't like the sink being that way around. Option B I like because there is more bench space on the left. I don't think there'd be wasted space underneath? As far as I'm aware, there's still the same size corner cupboard because some of it will be underneath the drainer. I have no idea what to do? I think I'll change the pot drawers around Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 36Oct 06, 2012 2:55 am Andy, it's also the position of the dishwasher Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: Sammymac's build! - Modified Sorrento by Fairmont Homes 37Oct 06, 2012 11:55 am Quote: I don't think there'd be wasted space underneath? Andy am dumb. Epic jealous of your coloured splashback! My partner wouldn't let me have a green or blue or purple!!! As someone who currently has a small kitchen with the near the corner I would definately vote option B and have the bigger bench space and smaller corner space. The corner is rendered almost useless for working in and like dreamcometrue said, is only really good for things like tea and coffee. Hope this helps!
