Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 01, 2012 6:11 pm Hi Everyone, We are just looking at signing up with Rawson homes to build the Oxley on a 7 acre property at Maraylya (western sydney). The sales rep tells me that there was a "suppliers bonus" package which unfortunately finished yesterday. I was wondering if anyone has a list of what is included in this package, and if we should try and get it. Anyone who's built with Rawson, would you recommend them as a company ?? Thanks, Glen. Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 2Oct 01, 2012 7:30 pm Hi there, We are building with Rawson Homes. We are going through the admin period at the moment and our plans are currently in council. We are looking to start building in the next month - or as soon as council decides they can pass our house. There are a couple of threads going about Rawson homes - one is 'Our Benham 33 journey' I have found these incredibly helpful and there are couple of people that are building in the Hills District at the moment. We are in Port Stephens, but only moved from Dural a couple of years ago. The Suppliers bonus was Monier Traditional flat profile roof tiles Two plasterboard niches Taubmans Endure paint to internal walls Cointhian Eden 4 panel 1020mm door Caroma cameo toilet suite with soft close seat Stainless steel microwave with trim kit Stainless steel dishwasher Glass/SS rangehood 20mm caesarstone to vanity tops Rheem integrity 27L gas hot water system Caroma Track overhead rain showers to bathroom and ensuites Hettich soft close drawers and doors to kitchen Daiken inverter 6hp ducted airconditioning with 2 zones and 12 outlets I dont know if you will be able to get it, but maybe worth a shot. Saying you will get a tender if that is included as part of it. They may say no, but you dont know unless you ask. We have been happy with our experience so far with Rawson. Their admin can be a bit slow, but I think that is a trait of most of the large project builders. I have found them to be very transparent and honest the whole process. What I have liked about them is that there is no base price. It is a turn key price and there is no hidden charges a long the way. Their inclusions seem to be quite a bit better than a lot of the larger builders. We built a highly modified Clifton 30 and are really happy with our new home. We originally signed up with them September last year, at this time they had a $15 000 rebate which came of the price of the tender. I think at this time the building industry was a little slower so it kicked things off. Did the sales staff advise if there was another promotion to take over the Suppliers Bonus, if there wasn;t you should ask and see if they will include this in your deal as a sweetner. We have built 2 homes previously with another project home builder and were glad we changed over to Rawson. You can see our blog on our process. Once we actually started construction and got thorugh the paperwork and council in March the house only took 4 months to complete. There is a bunch of us on the fourm and it great as we all pick up different things from each other. Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 4Oct 01, 2012 9:14 pm Hi Glen We are at lock up stage with Rawson at the moment - 15wks in. We are extremely happy with everything so far. Everyone we have dealt with has been helpful. The price has been fixed no nasty surprises and the inclusions were great. We didn't get any suppliers bonus just the caesarstone package and discounted air conditioning and frame upgrade. You can see more on my blog the link is below. Good luck with your decisions. Thats interesting... I was told I would be getting the two promotions. the suppliers and the something else. This was in December btw - unless the sales consultant at Gleds was telling me fibs to get my $950! Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 7Feb 09, 2013 7:40 pm It's quite possible they negotiate to get discounts on different stuff moderately regularly. The "supplier's bonus" we were planning on getting started around February or March last year, it's quite possible that yours is either the same thing started-up again, or actually a different bonus. Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 8Feb 09, 2013 11:41 pm yea sounds like it started up again, although it'd be nice to get that 15k bonus again Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 9Jun 17, 2013 11:26 pm there is the birthday bonus at the moment $39000 upgrade for $5000 Re: Rawson Homes Suppliers Bonus 10Jun 18, 2013 8:08 am Thread From The Dead! The people we're (most likely) building with have had the same "bonus" / "special" for 18 months at the least. I don't know how it qualifies as a "special" when it's standard ...
