Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Embassy New Build - We have a slab!!!! 64Feb 19, 2013 6:06 pm Thanks Guys, so excited. The frame is booked for the 5th March. Think the electrician is due next week to dig trenches for power connection!! Re: Our Embassy New Build - We have been framed!! 65Mar 27, 2013 11:47 am Well finally the frame has been put up. Almost complete. There was a delay in the frame of 5 weeks so the slab has had a good amount of time to settle and cure. We were quite happy about this in the end really. The window is 2400mm x 1800mm.....just need to think about a feature plant of some sort and garden around it....my father passed away last year and he was a chef so have been thinking about a Lemon tree with a herb/edible garden around it. Or maybe a Bay tree in memory of him. My work gave me a voucher for a nursery when he passed away as they knew i wanted to do something like this for him Re: Our Embassy New Build - We have a frame!!! 69Mar 27, 2013 2:04 pm I like the look our lime tree better than the lemon. It's bushier plus the green will match your green things inside hehe. Very sweet to do something for him Re: Our Embassy New Build - We have a frame!!! 70Apr 04, 2013 10:15 pm Roof is on and the windows are in!!!! All starting to look like a house now. The back wall of our kitchen is very similar. Except was have built in microwave and double oven & concealed range hood Re: Our Embassy New Build - more pictures!! 78May 09, 2013 11:00 pm hiya Leanne we do have a built in microwave provision above the oven that is concealed by the doors. dont use a microwave much so decided to hide it when not in use. Im loving the colour. The island bench was supposed to be polarwhite but we are loving the zincworks so have decided not to bother changing it. Although i has been discussed & will be used as leveridge if needed lol. Our SS is awesome. so fussy & particular it has been a smooth ride so far. I changed colour late in the piece & think it got lost in translation but we love it so all good. The white shimmer benches will give a white look & break up the grey a bit.
