Slab is booked for 10/2. Tried to get a start on an independent building inspector this week. Made a web enquiry with building_expert on Wed and they still haven't phoned - poor show. Will have to try someone else. Imagine my surprise when I drove out this afternoon and found that the slab was poured today! What a nice way to start the weekend!! We are getting our slab done today and our frame is booked for the 9/1. We want to book to get a inspection done once frame is done but not sure who to use. Please let us know if you find someone that you are happy with l was only to use New Home Inspections but l read a few people on here weren't happy with them at all, so now l don't know. Re: Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes - Frame going 75Dec 20, 2012 4:24 pm Andystar your house is flying along I must say that Carlisle dont mess around wants they start its all go On the building inspectors I have used New Home Inspections and also Building Expert I used New Home Inspections for frame and Pre Handover inspections and was very happy with them I only changed to Building Expert for pre 3 month inspection as they have thermal imaging and I was concerned about a roof water leak we had and wanted them to check it out for me The good thing was it was raining when he come out and he couldnt find any water leaks ( Carlisle had been out to fix it and I wanted to be sure they did ) The bad was I had to chase him up for the report and when I got it it had the wrong info in it and didnt mention anything about some missing insulation in the roof that he had take pictures of When I emailed him about this I didnt get a reply and still havent 3 weeks on Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes - Frame going 77Dec 21, 2012 3:12 pm ksj Is crushed rock use on driveway from the start of construction ? Seems my hunch was correct. We are going to use NHI when we need them.
