Had no intention of picking osprey for kitchen or white shimmer for ensuite but it seemed to match and I loved white shimmer as it has little sparkles through it . Linen will go great with the colours you have picked. Thanks andystar70 we are very happy with they way its all turned out The laminate in ensuite is smoky sapelle we also used this in the kitchen overhead feature cabinets We built the Haven 32 with Soho facade Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes - SELECTIONS A 29Oct 01, 2012 10:03 pm Ah ok - we chose Seductive Limba which looks similar - really like your selections! We liked the Haven but the Ascot suited our block due to the placement of our crossover. I also wanted more light in the family / kitchen but my wife wouldn't have a splashback window. Not sure if they would have done it anyway but she's violently opposed to them. Are you all settled in now? What estate did you build in? We have fixed site costs in our contact so I am not worried about the slab costs etc (relieved we went with the fixed costs!!) - but I want to try to find out what will be done about the drainage. I've lived on a block with poor drainage before and want to try to make sure we avoid that! I've sent an email to our CLE about it, so wait and see. Re the drainage - they provide drainage to the slab and "riser pipes" for us to use in our landscaping etc. I don't know what riser pipes are but I assume a landscaper will?? Re the drainage - they provide drainage to the slab and "riser pipes" for us to use in our landscaping etc. I don't know what riser pipes are but I assume a landscaper will?? Hey andystar - love your selections - good luck with your build We too have heavy clay soil with poor drainage - 3 x riser pipes were also supplied to us on the dead side of the house to prevent flooding. Basically we had 3 PVC pipes sticking out of the ground connected to the storm water/sewer (unsure which one) so when our concreter did the concrete path he made sure he sloped the concrete/poured the concrete at the right levels to these pipes and put in the grates so the water can drain away We have had quite a few heavy down pours and absolutely no issues with water pooling! I guess if you have them in your back yard and you complete landscaping your landscaper will know not to cover them and I guess angle the lawn/garden bed to the area for drainage. Make sure you take pictures of where the riser pipes are we had 5 down the side of our house and all but 1 had been broken off and covered over i found this the day before the concreter was going to start Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes - SELECTIONS A 35Oct 05, 2012 8:11 pm Thanks sleven and coobri! I will be much more prepared thanks to the support and info here! Coobri - did you concrete or landscape around your riser pipes? I would say they were broken off when site clean was done I found one that was full of mud which made me check them all Concreter used them for drainage which also raised alarms as one he was going to use wasnt connected to anything it was just pushed into the ground after it was broken off Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes - SELECTIONS A 37Oct 05, 2012 8:43 pm Ok, good to hear they resolved it.
