Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Ascot 35 with Carlisle- HANDOVER BOOKED! 102Mar 25, 2013 2:18 pm We had our PCI this morning and as our SS has done such a good job along the way we had only four minor items on our list, all paint related apart from one missing safety sticker on the stacker sliding door. With such a small list the SS has reached his goal of having us in before Easter - handover is booked for Thursday!! Lots to do between now and then but we are so happy not to be sitting without keys over the Easter long weekend! One more day and you will have your keys. I have really enjoyed reading about your build l hope the move goes well!!! Re: Building Ascot 35 with Carlisle- HANDOVER BOOKED! 108Mar 27, 2013 1:36 pm Thanks everyone! We have been notified that our final cheque is ready so it is all on for tomorrow afternoon! Removalists are booked for Saturday but we will be trying to do a lot of the smaller stuff ourselves as it's 6 mins down the road. Tomorrow night's task will be cleaning, as the SS advised that we'd need to do so even though the builder's clean has been done, and starting on dealing the grout in our tiles as per the advice of the SS. He also advised us to Scotchguard the carpets, but I have heard mixed things about whether or not this is a good thing to do.... any thoughts? The move has been full on and we feel like we might never see the end of boxes, but all went smoothly and the Carlisle experience has been great from beginning to end. Seriously can't find enough nice things to say about them - such a great job! Because we got our keys on the Thursday before the long weekend, we couldn't get appliances or hot water done until today - the guys are here now doing it. Thankfully we still have the keys to our rental until next week so we were able to shower there in the interim! Our driveway went down yesterday and paths around the house will be done today, and then landscaping and decking on the alfresco and entry. We have what seems like a thousand people booked in to do different jobs - the place will look radically different in a week or so I think! Will post some pics when all is done. We finally started our home construction with Carlisle last week- the new double storey on Bimberry CRT. Was at Pasadena today and saw that your driveway has been done. When did you arranged for the construction of the driveway? Re: Building Ascot 35 with Carlisle- We are in! 112Apr 04, 2013 9:51 pm My gosh! Land hasn't titled yet, but we are hoping for it to be in the next week or so. After weeks of trawling through display houses we finally decided on Carlisle's Bellevue 24sq with Lismore Facade. http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/find-a- ... cades/site Did our initial colour appointment mid March and got ourselves really confused.... went through more display houses... We now think we are ready for our Main colour appointment on the 16th April. Feels like its forever away at this stage, but thats just me being impatient I'm sure!!! Such a great location here's to hoping your land titles right on time so you can get moving! Just had a peek at the Bellevue floor plan. I can see why you like it. Really love those spacious showers and that alfresco! The kitchen is also really nice plus that study nook is a nice touch. I love things like that Lismore is a great façade - one of my faves. I love houses with wide low façades! Yes it is a while between selections but in the meantime you can busy yourself with research! Go to brick showrooms, seek advice for your lighting needs, gawk at houses for ideas, lol i so recommend hitting up laminex and getting a sample of every colour as well as go to Beaumont tiles at hoppers crossing and take a look at all the tile options every little bit will help!!
