This colour was released April this year..... I love it Re: essastone, whats your advice? 4Sep 23, 2012 11:49 am We originally chose New Basmarti, but after we chose our cupboards in ash white, decided to change the essastone to french nougart (sp?). I think it matched in a bit better. disclaimer: I am colour blind so any advise I give take with a grain or two of salt -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: assisting, whats your advice? 5Sep 23, 2012 1:10 pm We had decided on Essastone as our builder's stone guy wanted to use the product and were down to a few of their Blacks as I final choice. After looking at all the engineered stone brands we found them to be quite similar. I dropped into a stone installer one day to ask a few questions and he asked me "have you considered natural stone" After finding out that it did not cost substantially more than the engineered product, watching his demonstration of attacking the Black Galaxy granite with a Stanley knife and seeing it's amazing shine and look when placed side by side to a large Essastone sample we were hooked. In my opinion there is no comparison and the price difference between the mid and high range engineered product to the natural stone does makes the choice simple once you put samples side by side. Re: essastone, whats your advice? 6Sep 23, 2012 1:26 pm We scratched the Essastone Gallileo sample with a key and it made a scratch. We are choosing Bone White Re: essastone, whats your advice? 7Sep 23, 2012 1:36 pm Hi Woodyren, I wish you posted your comments 10 months ago when I was choosing my kitchen colour selections But you are right, I have off white caesarstone ( which is the same thing as essa stone, I believe they are both reconstituted stone ) & it looks quite nice , BUT, when you put natural stone next to it , there is a difference. the natural stone is shiny & looks lovely. I too thought that natural would cost an arm & a leg, but found out too late that this was not the case. essastone, whats your advice? 8Sep 23, 2012 1:59 pm We are getting Caesarstone in "urban" which is a darkish grey colour.
