Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 21, 2012 9:26 am does anyone here on this forum have experiences with ecocottages? (www ecocottages com au) ..or budgetqualityhomes? (www budgetqualityhomes com au). seems to me like a nice solution for building up a weekender for SMBI islands close to brisbane (southern moreton bay islands) or any other suggestions in regards to a weekender / cottage for macleay island? have about 100.000 in cash and vacant land .... currently all 2 bedroom homes would be about 120.000 .... (builder, prefabricated or kit home costs the same at the end) I need a turnkey solution as a owner builder solution seems to be a nightmare and neverending story ... thx in advance Re: any experiences with Eco cottages or budgetqualityhomes? 2Jan 26, 2013 12:49 pm Well I thought I comment on your forum. As I'm looking into building on Macleay Island. Finding it a nightmare. Trying to find afforable kit home. As I don't have the time to be owner builder. finding someone to build it. local builder prefer. and looking around either removal home seem cheap. and instead. but having the cash up front I need to go to the bank for a loan. as i own the block of land there. I'm not sure what to do. but if you find out more be great to know. Otherwise I have to go over to the island during the holidays and do some door knocking on previous properties that set up. as i know u can get kitsets. but finding someone to transport it over on the barge. Also to store variables stuff too. The difference between the two comes down to inspecting the building so it's safe and… 3 18025 A question. Im in Queensland and building a new home.
