The reason we have to have the wall in front of the vanity is so that there will be somewhere to mount our tv on for the bedroom. Good point. . . How far is the wall from the bedhead? Problem is he knows i'm a clean freak and will just clean his if he leaves it long enough. Boooo. The bedhead will be right up against the wall. With the bath in front of the shower? They seem to have the depth but maybe not the width we do have a lot of wasted space though, my other option would be very similar to with bath, shower and toilet along back wall but I would have had doors in the center with two 1200 vanities either side, one for DH and one for me, I love the look of the two vanities though Crystally this is my ensuite, you were talking about a bath against the dark tiles, I think mine looks ok Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Ensuite layout - please help! 47Sep 18, 2012 1:43 pm gogo65 Jodge, I wondering if they could somehow fit something like mine in? This is the style i'm going for (i think we have the same bathtub too, is that the decina cool?) I love the concept of this with the shower at the back.. i will ask my husband if we can do something similar (but i bet the builder will charge us both our arms and legs for it). Building the Autern 005 with urbanedge Homes Re: Ensuite layout - please help! 49Sep 18, 2012 2:00 pm gogo65 No it's not a decina bath, it is a full stone bath (170kg) that we bought from cocomo. Not sure what state you are in though, we are in Sydney. Ooh and yep it cost a bit I'm in Melbourne. Whatever it cost you it was worth every cent! Enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!! The photo looks quite dark , but all the other walls are floor to ceiling white tiles, with a white vanity, so it is actually much lighter room than th photo looks. Haven't actually used the bath yet, been in for six weeks, must have one soon the stone bath and basins are gorgeous though Re: Ensuite layout - please help! 52Sep 18, 2012 2:25 pm This may be a bit left field so feel free to disregard if you like, but instead of having the wall face the bedroom, have you considered making a feature of your fancy new bath? It will potentially save you some money on fancy tiling too, as you will have just the one visual impact area. I have had a quick play and have a couple of quick suggestions, but as a disclaimer these are purely just 2 minute hand drawn ideas on my iPad so I haven't even measured the dimensions... Perhaps just something to think about? As for the towel rack, i'm just curious (and this may be a dumb question) but what is the wall by the shower, is it a stud wall? can you not attached the rack to it.. Jodge, basically the back wall which has the balcony is the rear of the house. North is towards the top right hand corner. CluelessOne... you need to change your nickname to GENIUS! I adore your idea of the first sketch you drew!!! I have shown hubby and he is umming and ahhing but I have told him to think outside the square! I have always loved the idea of walking into a room and seeing a beautiful bathtub right there open plan! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still have no idea where towel rails will go lol!!! No i'm too paranoid for that so the TV will need to be put on the top left hand wall of the bedroom area. Building the Autern 005 with urbanedge Homes Re: Ensuite layout - please help! 60Sep 18, 2012 10:22 pm So i've drawn up a sample of what it may look like with the new layout. What does everyone think about the space between the toilet and the shower... should i make it a long vertical opaque window? http://i466.photobucket.com/albums/rr25/MissAyla27/Ensuite.jpg Building the Autern 005 with urbanedge Homes Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6139 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15600 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11835 |
