Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 14, 2012 5:56 pm Hi all, I'm looking at building a new home for my family. We're looking at buying 1 acre in Plenty (VIC) We want a ranch style single storey and I also need an office space so I can run our business from home. Anyone know what builders are worthy of checking out? Who also have a website with floor plans to check out. I'm a little frightened/overwhelmed of doing this.. Re: Looking at Building. 2Nov 14, 2012 7:11 am Hi. What do you want to know? Some people have a different experience with the same builder, sometimes perception rather than reality, ask me . I will help see you. Re: Looking at Building. 3Nov 14, 2012 8:28 am Metr!c0n have a few ranch homes I think. One is the Denver, which I happen to love. It comes in 36, 27, and 24 squares so pretty much whatever you need. They have floor plans on their site, all builders should. With any builder you'll hear some people talk about how crap they are and some say how much they love them. ie I know a couple of people who hated Metr!c0n for various reaons but also three or four who loved building with them... I think with building you just have to prepare for rocky roads ahead and know that no build will be perfect and without issues! Good luck - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. Built in 2013. Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6882 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes.
