Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 12, 2012 10:01 am Hi there. I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help with facade colours. We are first time builders and to be honest am feeling overwhelmed with all the decisions that have to be made. Anyway enough complaining. Our house is double storey and is contemporary in design. We are using bowral getrudis brown federation bricks with offwhite mortar. To the left and right of front windows on ground floor we have some render columns. This section projects out and forms the balcony for top level bedrooms. We also have a horizontal bit of render over the portico (front door). We want to use the charcoal grey roof tiles. We also want to use anodized Matt silver aluminum windows. I don't want dark windows as I want the windows on the inside to blend with the walls and not stick out. Wood windows are out of the question. Can anyone suggest a render colour for the columns and contrasting one for portico roof as well as a colour/s for gutter, fascia and down pipe that would suit this facade. We're wanting it to remain neutral. Thanks so much for any suggestions.
