I can add them in later on I guess. Saved myself $$$ for now and put it towards the raised roofs I've added

So I saw these in a magazine and love the look of them for the back and maybe the front garden! I went and had a quick look at the site today, I'm assuming they let the slab sit for a little bit before they begin the frame work??? I was hoping to see the frame delivered but we still are awaiting the invoice for the slab I just hope the broker who we have had problems does his job correctly. I'd hate to have to pay interest because of his incompetence will see what progress happens over this week if any . Re: Our Hartley 361- build 63Sep 30, 2012 8:24 pm So what can you broker do to muck things up now? Is your loan not finalised? Hope it all turns out well!! I'm worried that he will Not get the invoices paid on time! It's in his hands. I will just have to make sure to remind him of the urgency, as everything is ready to go.He has not been very helpful so far mucked up the original loan twice. All sorted now but has taken forever to get the job done correctly. Thought I'd come back and re edit this.. Our broker submitted the invoice on time and it was paid.. Have to give credit where credits due. Finally...
Re: Our Hartley 361- build 65Sep 30, 2012 8:50 pm Oh ok - so the bank doesn't do that? Haven't got to that stage yet! Good luck with your build Re: Our Hartley 361- build 67Sep 30, 2012 9:05 pm Ah ok. We're just about to settle on the land so haven't crossed that bridge yet! All these fun things to look forward to! Our broker was a bit hopeless too so good to be able to deal direct now haha 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Our Hartley 361- build 69Sep 30, 2012 9:17 pm Our loan pack came with a set of stage payment authorisations. I just assumed it was our job to send those off - will have to check with our broker - who has been brilliant I have to say. (sorry to hijack your thread dreamhome!) We're just about to settle on the land so haven't crossed that bridge yet! All these fun things to look forward to! Hi there, just hope you have a good bank/broker, all the best with settling the land, ours settled in June that seemed to go smoothly we had a great conveyancer who was so helpful helping us sell our home and get the land organized. How exciting for you have you got a builder yet? Not at all in regards to hijacking my thred keep posting this is my third build, im no expert but any questions happy to answer if I can Re: Our Hartley 361- build 71Sep 30, 2012 9:24 pm stellabella Our broker got our first invoice (for pool, took six weeks to get it paid! grr) paid but said it would be easier and quicker for us to set up verbal payment authority direct with the bank. Our broker was a bit hopeless too so good to be able to deal direct now haha Sounds like a really good idea I might take a visit to his office if the first installment doesn't go through quickly and grab the pack back off him.. So frustrating as it was his job to get it all sorted from the start, never again will I go through this broker just can't wait until all payments are made and I never have to deal with them again ! We want a pool eventually got the builder to make sure not to lay pipes or leads in our proposed pool space, will have to do some pool shopping as the build is closer to finishing Re: Our Hartley 361- build 72Sep 30, 2012 9:35 pm our dream home andystar70 Ah ok. Not at all in regards to hijacking my thred keep posting any questions happy to answer if I can Yes we are all sorted - you can check my thread for our plans etc. We are hoping that we will have a quick site start once we settle - depending on how quickly developer and council approval are done. Our builders will be doing all of this and have said it should be straightforward. Our land has been 10 months late in settling so we are really ready to get going!! Wow 10 months late. At least all the other stuff is sorted before the land settles, so things should hopefully get moving straight away for u. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 74Sep 30, 2012 10:11 pm Yes it's been a challenge but it really gave us a chance to be sure about what we are doing - we actually changed our house etc so the time has given us some perspective! Re: Our Hartley 361- build 77Oct 01, 2012 9:33 am Thanks jpc
Hopefully they are still around when it's time to do the garden I'm thinking it's going to take some time and that we might get a landscape gardener to do it right this time as in the past we have done it ourselves and we have no idea about plants but either way lovin these. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 78Oct 01, 2012 9:42 pm Ok so we finally got the invoice for the slab today a little confused how it all works as we have to contribute a bit before the bank releases the rest. 7 days is really not enough time the way banks are these days. I'm on to it though off to the broker first thing to sort it all out. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 79Oct 02, 2012 8:12 am Hey ODH, Got a quick question for you... We got the permits back last week and signed off on the final plans. From my understanding the Site Superviser would be contacting us to go over everything and would then get going on it all?? Well you can imagine my suprise when we drove up to our block of land last night, not expecting to see anything and really just to have a look at what is going on around there to discover not only did we have a bin and a sign and a tap but our site cut had been done! Did all of this happen before you met with your SS or was meeting with him the first thing that happened? Im a tad confused, happy to see something happening but confused all the same Re: Our Hartley 361- build 80Oct 02, 2012 2:03 pm Yes they started with the sign and toilet and fence but the ss had already left a message on my phone introducing himself and for a meeting time. From my understanding They are meant to give you a quick call at least, but I guess it depends on your SS Id be more inclined to go on your letter. You should get a site start date letter in the mail so look out for that mine came and according to the letter had already started so I drove down only to find the fence toilet and sign. I did speak to someone on here that didn't get one so that's just going on my experience to date.. I imagine if they are ready they just start . Our SS said he doesn't do the slabs ( what ever that means) and will site supervise from frame up. He asked me If the slab guy had called but he never did.. They seem to do things differently, depending on who u speak to on here! Our SS didn't seem to concerned about meeting up as my husband was in hospital but I made sure to call him back once all was settled! I'm glad we did as he went over the plans and picked up a few errors that I would never of seen not being a builder. If u r concerned give DFH a call and ask them who your SS is. I found it helpful meeting him because he gave me the plumbers and electrician details.. I've build twice before and never met the SS until fix stage. Good luck that's from my experience anyway maybe you have a different SS that has a different way of doing things.. How exciting the slab will be down. Before you know it.. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 18586 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 24062 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24173 |
