I'm assuming they don't come with them. We had A&L do them. They had all the details from when the house was built. They cost about $2500 but worth it for security and keeping the flies out. There would be cheaper ones without the security grill. A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. I can't stand flies so I'm thinking one more thing to pop on the giant list of things to buy.. Think I may need to start taking the lotto, they are worth it though, can't imagine having them wide opened without a screen of some sort. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 109Oct 11, 2012 2:30 pm No we are not although I know we probably should! Has your slab been layed yet? Re: Our Hartley 361- build 110Oct 11, 2012 2:43 pm No not yet, we went up again last weekend and they had done the cement piering, we needed a lot as we have a really high level of clay or something, anyways all the piers (there is a lot) have been done so hopefully when we go up this weekend they have moved on to plumbing. I got an email start of last week from a guy who works for DFH, not even sure what his title is but he said slab in 3-4 weeks... hoping its sooner. We still haven't heard a peep out of our site superviser yet either Trying to keep the visits to once a week at this stage so that when we go we can actually see the progress and will be more exciting, doesnt stop me from wanting to go every second day though Re: Our Hartley 361- build 112Oct 12, 2012 7:16 am Yeap we went yesterday couldn't help ourselves and the frame is all done minus the roof! We don't have windows yet just the doorframe to the back of the garage. The windows are delivered which is frustrating because they have been sitting in the sun and rain for a week.. I hope they don't buckle!! But that's something they will have to deal with I guess. Hopefully they can put them into today. The weather has not helped we are featuring a small dam ATM by the looks of the property yesterday, and a neighbour popped over to introduce himself and told us that he was glad we had put in a "Polly" something or other as this area has flooded before!! We did have to upgrade the slab to H so maybe thats what he was going on about...Gee thanks!! Don't really need to know that bit... Lol.. But then said we had the best block on the street where it was located... Not sure if he just felt bad because he told me about the flooding... and the look on my face probably said it all..Yours looks like its coming along. The carpet is a lovely colour and the fact that your freestanding bath is ready to go is a good thing as I would imagine its one of the last items they put in before handover Re: Our Hartley 361- build 113Oct 13, 2012 8:40 am Your windows should be okay I would think, mine were left in the yard at window place for a while as SS couldn't pick an exact date to be delivered as I arranged my own. They could have put a tarp over them to protect them a little, lucky no one has stolen them! Our house is a good brick or 2 higher than our neighbours place that is over 5 years old, a good thing but now our concrete has to be higher outside so it looks our 6 foot fence will be 5 foot. A little annoying but lucky we only have 1 neighbour. Not sure what your neighbour is talking about with the "polly", the house would have to be built above the flood level you would think! My freestanding bath is still waiting, tiler came back and replaced tiles after he tiled and shouldn't have, but now the plumber ripped up one of the ones he put back down!!! so still no bath or tap, not sure if it broke while they attaching bolts to floor or what....... Re: Our Hartley 361- build 114Oct 13, 2012 5:21 pm Yeah a tarp would of been nice happy to give them the $2.00. They are still sitting there and will be over the week end. They have the roof sitting on top of the frame but not attached yet. Loved looking at it today it is all up and you can see all the rooms in place. Not sure what my neighbour was on about either, but I have a H slab so could be something to do with that?? Are you having a freestanding tap? We are getting it attached to the wall just had to upgrade it as it needed to fit our freestanding bath. I did love the look of them but the baths going against the wall anyway. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 115Oct 14, 2012 8:13 am jpc No not yet, we went up again last weekend and they had done the cement piering, we needed a lot as we have a really high level of clay or something, anyways all the piers (there is a lot) have been done so hopefully when we go up this weekend they have moved on to plumbing. Went yesterday but hubby didn't come so he wants to go today. Will get some pics. Re: Our Hartley 361- build 117Oct 14, 2012 8:47 pm Yes we are having a free standing tap it has been an issue though onto second tap and tiler should not have tiled but did so they got ripped up then plumber did their bit and retiled but plumbers have either pulled one tile up or shattered it putting bolts in floor! Think fitting is all done so now tiler has to come back to replace so tap and bath can go in, would have been easier and cheaper to do tap out of wall! Our slab is h and something else for piers maybe p? Re: Our Hartley 361- build 120Oct 17, 2012 3:52 pm Thanks jpc yeah that's what we are looking forward to seeing the colours come together Cant wait to see the ensuite and little things like splashback, floorboards and benches! Trying to piece it all together in my head on those little samples gets overwhelming u just never know if u have done the right thing until its all together.. Our freestanding bath, being bold and black is a scary choice.. My husband assures me we made the right decision?? the funny thing is its now available in white... but it's all good.. I loved how big and deep it is. I really want a chandalier in the ensuite over the bath (secured properly of course) so I have to speak to the electrician about that. Still need to buy one if he can do it.. Hinting to hubby to get it for me for a Christmas pressie. Also looking at one of those camera door bell monitor things... Eventually... Hope your frame goes up soon Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 17190 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23616 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 37 23738 |
