Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 62Oct 04, 2012 12:40 pm Your plans look good Stellabella. Interesting that my parents live in Goomboorian and my father also works at a certain 'laminating' company. I was wondering the other night what deals I could get through him. They are due a visit soon. Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 63Oct 04, 2012 12:48 pm Thanks! Good ol' Goomby hey? Lol! My Dad probably knows your dad, how funny! You should pm me his name! My parents supplied their own kitchen cabinets, etc obviously to try and save money, though they think in the end they didn't save that much, after paying for the cabinet maker's labour etc. Worth getting quotes though! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 64Oct 04, 2012 2:00 pm Well i vote for a room with spa & champer's with the money you have been refunded. After you pick all your selections/pre-start & before the build starts. That part can do your head in & send you bonkers,so you will need it! Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I don't even know when we would have time to do that! Getting married in four weeks, and I have no free weekends before then. Then we are off to Thailand for two weeks, then H2B goes back to work til just before Christmas. We were going to go back to the Whitsundays in March anyway...can I just say it will go towards that? lol 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 66Oct 04, 2012 9:14 pm Just thought I'd pop in to take a peak at your thread LOVE your tile selections - we're going with alot of grey throughout our house too, so glad to see we have similiar tastes Your facade looks fantastic too! Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 69Oct 05, 2012 6:11 am hows the dress coming along? Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 70Oct 05, 2012 9:04 am We too are having dress issues in our house, we like to leave things to the last minute around here. Hey regarding your lounge dilemma kiwi had a great idea to cut out newspaper to the size of the lounges you are thinking about and place them around the room and see if they work or not. Don't I have some cheek stealing Kiwi's idea and giving it out and right after she posted too. But seriously it's a great idea, knew to do it for pictures on a wall but not furniture. Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 71Oct 05, 2012 9:57 am Shes a clever kiwi thats for sure Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I'm having MAJOR stress at work today so it's nice to take a second and come on here... I'm also having 'dress stress', was supposed to be here this week, no call yesterday so I called them - "it's in the post as we speak, we expect it to be here and ready on Monday" - which means I can't get it til Thursday, which is about three weeks before the wedding. OH well, what can you do? Still thinking about the sofas - we have plenty of time! lol. I'm thinking a 2+3 seater in the media room, and something like a three-seater 'empire' sofa in the family? I don't know how to describe it...where the top goes like this: ~~^~~ I will try and find actual photos lol. They look fab but I don't know how comfortable it would be, which is a big deal to me 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 73Oct 05, 2012 11:44 am In our ' media room' ie lounge we have a 3 seater and a 2 seater as there are 7 of us. Or when kids gone to bed, 2 of us have a couch each to watch tv on and sprawl out. I think if we had our corner suite with chaise ( what what!) that is in the family room in there there would be no sprawling as such as no space from each other. He would get on my nerves and I would stab him. I like my own couch, if I want, or be draped all over him if I don't. There is a choice, with a corner suite...no choice. Some one always gets the chaise part!! All depends how you live and drape And yes, I'm am full of great ideas and good luck with the dress actually ' being in the post' Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 74Oct 05, 2012 11:46 am Just read that and thought...that makes 5 seats! The 3 is big and can fit 4 people and someone gets the Exercycle...in the corner, and it ain't me! Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 75Oct 08, 2012 8:42 pm Haha Kiwi, I just read that. Our chaise couch, there were definitely some fights and someone normally ended up on the floor in the beanbag! One room solved - just bought a 2 and 3 seater (second hand) leather lounges for the family room. Not a massive fan of actually sitting on leather, but we don't think we'll use the family room much so just wanted something pretty! I have never bought second-hand furniture before, but these are as new and I got them for $400 so I can't complain! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 76Oct 08, 2012 11:06 pm Excellent - always great when you score a bargain. Some of my best buys have been finds off ebay and gumtree. I have to admit Im no a big fan of leather either but it's great when you have kids because everything justs wipes off it. Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics and good news from b 77Oct 15, 2012 11:54 am Nothing new here, as usual, but I figured out that we are definitely at least in council, I checked our online status thing. Didn't think to do that til today! Still waiting to hear back on prices for window tinting and my outdoor shower...only been three weeks since I asked lol And on the wedding front - got my dress and getting it altered tomorrow! Yay! 2 weeks and 5 days to go! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics & definitely in coun 78Oct 15, 2012 12:16 pm Good luck with the dress, dont forget to show pict's of the day. In council, its a start, questions for builders to answer is something they can take forever to answer I hate it when they leave you sitting, waiting, waiting, dont they know you need answers & like, now!!!!!! All is well. Re: Stellabella's build QLD-Colour pics & definitely in coun 80Oct 15, 2012 3:18 pm Haha KA I know! And I don't want to be that annoying person that emails daily asking 'have you got prices yet? have you got prices yet?', so I just wait patiently... Yes kiwi, all good for now, will be better when I know it fits properly, at the moment it's a size too small, better than too big I guess? Also, just got a call from the builder - what a coincidence - we now havign 'planning (maybe she said plumbing? I don't know lol) approval' from the council and the building one shouldn't be too much longer. Obviously the can't do anything until they have building approval but this is a start! Hopefully our bank doesn't take too long getting them their first payment! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13645 I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59686 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair That laser level looks lovely!
