It looks like the same sink that we are having Modified Fernside 38 Rawson Homes Blog: http://www.thehousethatmatandjenbuilt.blogspot.com Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60501 Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 442Mar 13, 2013 3:37 pm Thanks 1rocky and no not long to go now. onewheel you are right, I have been living with very light grey tiles for nearly two years so anything darker will look too dark until I adjust. I always overreact too. Thanks Jen Tree it is an Antiqua mixer and we bought it from restoration online and we received it the next day so great service. Yes it was very frustrating to find so many carpet samples displayed out on the floor were discontinued. Thanks Kayla. Can't have them, who or what is holding you back? Budget or partner? I'm sure what you are having is lovely all the same. Hi Megansyd, we only tiled one wall in each bathroom but we also have it as our splashback in kitchen and laundry. I should have put it everywhere but it really looks lovely mixed in with our bigger tiles, someone said it wouldn't go but it really does work for me. Yes the sink is available through M you just have to specify it although we have just been told that the Clark Razor double bowl has been discontinued apparently?? If you look on their website it actually doesn't come up anymore hubby said but they have another called the Clark Fusion which is literally identical. I really do love it and it works in with our classic kitchen suprisingly well. Hi Jen, yes it is the Clark Razor and it's huge compared to every other sink I have ever had but lovin it. Husband has been out to the block and seen that our carpet has gone in and he loves it. Can you believe they threw all the offcuts into the bin Hubby took them out and brought them home as we will use them whilst we have no rugs to protect the floors. He is really happy with how it looks but I know his taste and he is not to be totally trusted regarding these things. We have a walk through this Friday but there is still so much to be done I can't really see the point. I would rather wait til it is ready. Our outdoor lights were picked up and oh they are not what I thought they would be and they won't take them back for a store credit as they said it was a special order. Looks like we are stuck with them. Have had no luck really taking a liking to any outdoor lights and now we are out money if I don't use them. Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 443Mar 13, 2013 4:08 pm It really is gorgeous Tash ! Your flooring is the same colour as ours We had light oak boards previously and it took a while to get used to the dark boards but I love them now !!!! I find lighting really hard, I'm still searching for the perfect table lamps, pendants yadda yadda lol Looking forward to more pics Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 444Mar 13, 2013 4:20 pm Quote: Hi Jen, yes it is the Clark Razor and it's huge compared to every other sink I have ever had but lovin it. That is good to know. DH has given me a lot of grief over this sink. It was a $1250.00 upgrade for us including the undermounting cost and he loves to tell everyone that I have a $2,000 sink. I was set on having a square sink with no draining board. Glad to see that it looks Modified Fernside 38 Rawson Homes Blog: http://www.thehousethatmatandjenbuilt.blogspot.com Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60501 Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 445Mar 13, 2013 6:16 pm I LOVE your flooring, I don't think it's too dark at all! Also love the kitchen tap, so awesome and unusual! Oh, and your bath... I wish we had the option to have a freestanding bath instead of the normal built in one. If you really don't like them, sell them on and keep looking for something else. Don't give up, luckily there is the internet for searching for items like lights and hopefully you might stumble onto some you like We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Should have just waited til Pottery Barn opened in May and seen what their outdoor light range was like. The most annoying thing regarding outdoor lights is that a lot of the pretty ones are not rated for direct outdoor weather. Jen it certainly is an expensive sink but your hubby will be crowing about it when he sees it go in as it is so classy looking. MalinViktoria I LOVE your flooring, I don't think it's too dark at all! Also love the kitchen tap, so awesome and unusual! Oh, and your bath... I wish we had the option to have a freestanding bath instead of the normal built in one. I have to admit I went the freestanding one because I didn't want to have to decide how to tile it and cause they look so pretty. Just think you won't have to clean any awkward corners around your's like I will. Have been out to the house and ventured in to have a look at the flooring and the carpet and oh really I absolutely love it. The carpet is just the right colour and after spending almost two days agonising over it it is a big relief. It's not too brown but it's not too overly light either, it's just the natural wheat type colour I was after. It is actually called "Olives". Wood flooring is NOT too dark at all thank goodness, I panick over everything. It has lots of oak grain and lots of natural knots and little indentations. Really really happy with it. There are some things that look poorly done, especially a skirting in our bedroom it looks like it has been placed too high and there is a gap underneath, in fact there are a few spots like this in the rooms and there are probably lots of other small annoying unsightly things. We will have to bring all this up but overall considering it was a project built home it is overall not too bad. It makes it hard that our first house whilst tiny was built flawlessly with literally not a thing out of place it's a hard act to follow. I remember we did what I think looking back was a walk through but didn't pick a single thing wrong. Need to do a post about our rangehood saga. All brought on by myself of course. Not long til we move in and I haven't organised a single darn thing, no blinds no furniture. I am too indecisive and I need to take the time to do these things slowly. It will be years before we have a fully completed house I think. More pics, I didn't forget the most important thing. Carpet shots Panelled doors and sides are going in tomorrow and so will the rest of our skirting on island. Subway tiling in Pantry but still to be grouted. Quite liking the grey grout type look though adds a nice contrast. Our lovely rock feature on our pillars at the front, adds a lovely extra layer of texture and interest to the house. Still to be grouted. Did I say we love our tiler. Lots of pics, I hope noone is sick of the same ones over and over as I will probably post all over again when our panelled doors go in and shower screens. Taking pics of the nice things reminds me of what I love and off sets some of the less nicer bits that I obsess over. As you can probably tell we have had a house clean too, there was lots of mud. I am really loving our house despite some bits and pieces and we were hi fiving each other that we seem to have mostly pulled off our vision, we will just squint at some of those bits that didn't. Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 449Mar 13, 2013 7:49 pm Pic piggies never get sick of pictures your house is looking so good. I don't think your floor looks too dark at all, its a nice contrast to the white/light colours. I am following Katrina from the Block blog, and she is having a house built too. She has similar taste to your home, thought I would share her blog in case you are interested in taking a look http://www.katrinaleechambers.com/2013/03/house-update-the-fix-out-is-almost-done.html Re: Our Grandview 37 Toowoomba - Lots of Progress 450Mar 13, 2013 10:30 pm Stunning. I am so in love with your home Tash. Your Kitchen looks amazing, that mixer really just sets off your island bench beautifully. Your floors are wonderful too. I think they make a great contrast to your white Kitchen and definatley no to dark. I have had similar issues with carpet, plenty of plush pile out there but not much sisal or loop styles especially in 100% wool. I am hoping I am happy with our choice when it goes in. Goodluck with your walk through, I know what you are saying about the little things that are just slightly off but annoying, hopefully they can fix them. cant wait to see more pics - you must be so excited, your almost there, not long and yo will be moving in. Still can't get over how great your floor looks, and your carpet looks a great colour too! I'm agonising over our carpet choices at the moment too because the light in the showroom is just so darn bad, and while it looked what we wanted in there, I have no idea how it's going to look in our house. *lol* That feature tiling on your pillars is a fantastic idea!
