YES, I have some pics and some good news and some "oh my god I'm sick of building news"
Well husband finally got home but not before telling me that he would be leaving unexpectantly tomorrow instead of this Wednesday and will be away for the next 20 days, he's only been home for a few days so it was a rush to get out to the block so he could get ready to leave in the morning. Stress time!
First of all I love the exterior paint colours, just what I wanted. I will definetly paint the front door a light blue once we are settled in, now that I have seen it white I think I can get away with a splash of colour. All fantastic on the exterior paint.
The interior paint is still a little too dark but whatcha gonna do? It's a nice colour to add other colours to though. Seems like a great job was done though. I am happy with the quality.
Kitchen has been delivered, although it doesn't look like a kitchen. The end bits for the island are to die for, literally the prettiest things I have ever seen and I looove them. Colour is perfect, nice crisp perfect white.
But here comes the downer bit....the cabinet doors have the wrong edge profile to them and they have made flat doors for all of the bathroom vanities which should have the same panelled doors as the kitchen. Not too hard to fix but it does mean another delay I'm thinking.
Luckily all these things are in our contract and will have to be fixed up but in regards to the extra little bit of profile to the edge of the doors I am still in two minds about it. On one hand I don't hate it even though I was very careful in requesting that the doors not have it I was really clear about that. I don't want to be down the track wishing I had asked them to stick to the original cupboards and then I think of the big amount of money we spent too to now not have it as we had wanted it. I know it's difficult to understand what I'm talking about and I will do a post this weekend of of all my kitchen selections to make it clearer what the problem is but in simple terms they have just ordered the doors that have extra moulding to them where it should just be flat.
We are heading back out early tomorrow morning to have another look and we will be letting our ss know.
Will be interesting once they start to put it all together if there is anything else not to plan that we pick up on, I hope not. I did think our cutlery draws are tiny but that is accurate on our plan, so many little strange looking surprises.
I got some pics for you all following along.
