Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 04, 2012 1:27 pm Hi, I'm currently building a new house and need a little help! I love the austral nickel brick but this is a little out of my price range. I was thinking of doing half of the house using Nickel bricks on the front and alfresco and then Boral Mocha on the two remainding sides. Anyone with opinions/options would be great!!! Re: Trouble with bricks 2Sep 05, 2012 11:51 am Anyone?? I might look later tonight at this, has anyone done similar? I'm going to suggest you don't mix those 2 colours and bricks together, its not a good blend at all. What I would suggest is doing the one you like on the front only then choosing another one from Austral that blends well with the Nickel that you can afford for the rest of the house. ...like a lighter grey maybe? Tell me ones you like in the Austral rang that is in your price rang. This way the front of your house has a feature brick and won't look out of place rather than just doing the sides in another brick. I'm going to try and attached an image of front facade and all the colours that i'm thinking at the moment. Hopefully it works!! Re: Trouble with bricks 5Sep 06, 2012 6:03 pm Well done on learning how to post a photo on only your 3rd post! Your selections look really good, I don't have a problem with 2 bricks its just I don't think those 2 bricks sit happy with each. Have you gone and picked up the bricks so you have samples at your house? It's becoming more fun now Yes I agree with you, I am going to go down to austral this weekend to see if they can suggest a secondary brick that is a bit cheaper and matches the nickel, otherwise I may use this combo in order to have my house in all one brick...
