Hmmm. How about gas??
It's just that fibre I'm pretty sure needs to be run in a rigid white Telstra communications conduit. :/
That said, I could be wrong. I haven't got much experience with the NBN

I'd assume stage 1 would already have all their gas though considering most of the street is full of houses (big long street) Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 583May 06, 2013 12:18 am Hi guys, i'm hoping it ok for me to jump in here and say hello? I'm not building a new house but my hubby and I have just bought a house in Shoalwater that we are rennovating. We are pretty much doing the opposite, selling a 3 year old house in Baldivis that we built to move into a rundown tip on a massive block and make it amazing Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 584May 06, 2013 2:58 pm Welcome. Sound's like an awesome project! Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 585May 06, 2013 7:14 pm Just a quick update on the broken footpath - Council went out & inspected it today & have taken photo's & documented the breakages. The inspector was going to talk to the Builder next door & see what they have to say about the damage their tradies caused & Alinta Gas as they have damaged the concrete around where the Gas line comes in. Builder has said they are waiting on council approval. Any idea how long everyone else waited for council approval? Its been 8 weeks since my prestart and im still waiting on final plans. I signed up August last year so yeah I constantly feel like nothing is happening haha. Rockingham shire is pretty quick. Should happen within couple weeks Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 588May 08, 2013 11:47 am I was pretty happy with how quick mine was. Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 589May 08, 2013 1:05 pm Claire mine came through in five days from Rockingham City Council, but Ventura have all the plans signed off by an Engineer so the council only needs to rubber stamp them. Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 590May 08, 2013 1:21 pm ^^^ our builder does the same. I think a lot of builders may do this now. I think they say allow 10 working days Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 591May 17, 2013 2:11 pm Leanne, my hubby thinks it's possible that your yellow pipe is nothing, just a random bit of cutoff pipe from another build that's just wedgied itself in the dirt. Haha. Give it a yank maybe? He could be wrong, he just surmised this from the photo... Perhaps using it to mark for something not even related to our lot? Funny you should say give it a yank.... our son pulled it out other day we were there. DH just shoved it back in just incase haha. It was quite long Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 593May 17, 2013 3:10 pm lol Our RedInk Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64118&p=1004131#p1004131 ** Timeline Page 1 Moved In - 19.12.13 Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 594May 17, 2013 10:03 pm ahaha! Just means the builders can connect when they do wire it up. Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 599May 25, 2013 3:27 pm Hi there, long time no post! An update? JUST got our formal approval (literally taking a quick break from reading the tonne of paperwork we have to sign) Apparently the council requested we shave of 11cm down along side the house as its too close to the road so we have asked for an exemption and are on week 4 waiting for an answer (6 weeks wait apparently) Hoping to get the paperwork back to the bank Monday and arrange settlement ASAP seeing as we began this process in April '12. Can't say it has been the best experience, it feels like everything was against us and frankly I am over it all. Hoping to see some progress soon as the only reason we have continued is because we have seen rental prices in the area and can't justify paying someone else's mortgage. Per start is done, just waiting on the council, settlement and then the actual construction. Can't wait until its over!
