Hello!
We were not 100% sure on all the rules regulations etc. although lots of people have been telling us we should seek further advice...
Our Neighbour cut their whole block and they went down 1.7 meters in total altogether and built their double story home.
They actually cut into our block as well, (yes went way over the boundary)
We thought it didn't look right and would compromise our block and foundations.
We built a retaining wall on the boundary to help our block and hold up some of our soil, so it wouldn't slide into hers. But it wouldn't have if she didn't cut ....!
I have pictures of our wall on the boundary and her double story how she cut, and how she put a retaining wall right next to her house which doesn't help our block in anyway.
Should have we asked or ask her to pay for the retaining wall that cost us $7000 when we wouldn't have needed it in the first place.
Or the cut she has done is that allowed within regulations or something?
It all doesn't seem right to me.
When she cut she should have retained all that soil or at least now put soil and compact it back to support our retaining wall we built ....
Neighbours house is the double (left side) who cut...
We just did a normal cut from left of block and fill, we hardly went up... Looks like we did because of the way she cut down and into our block :/
