Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 01, 2012 12:36 pm Hi everyone, I'm building my first home in Piara Central Estate and would just like to know how long I can expect to wait for council approval. If anyone has just started building in this area recently could you please tell me how long you had to wait? I'm just a bit worried because there is a lot of new houses being built in my area so I guess I may have to wait a while. I think I'm going through City of Armadale. Thanks Re: Building - Harrisdale - Newhaven/ Piara Central 4Sep 06, 2012 2:58 pm Hi Busybee, so far its going pretty good. We are at bathroom tiling stage. Had a couple hickups with wrong tiles in the wrong places but thats all. Supervisor has been great and got onto it straight away. The service has been great from dales and they are always happy to help. We were told to allow 12 months which seems along time but if it means quality im prepared to wait Re: Building - Harrisdale - Newhaven/ Piara Central 6Sep 06, 2012 5:11 pm we signed with them around mid decemeber, maybe late december 2011. we should get handover end of october. which isnt bad considering a 2 month wait for shire approval and delays with the rain in the winter months. Thanks for your fast and friendly reply casanova goodluck with your build Re: Building - Harrisdale - Newhaven/ Piara Central 8Sep 06, 2012 8:20 pm Thanks so much for your input guys! I was actually told by friends that it could be up to six months wait because that was how long they had to wait, but they built in 2010. So 2-3 months was a lot better than what I expected. Busybee: wow I'm so glad I found someone who is building in the same estate as I am I'm building with homebuyers centre who is owned by Dale Alcock. Do you happen to know when our land titles will come out? I bought my land at the end of May and was told that it will be released in September? I hope it comes out soon, at best I hope to lodge the application to council before Xmas. Hi, just need to ask if anyone build with Central Properties in Victoria.
