Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Kitchen issue Pics 21Nov 11, 2012 1:34 am Hey 'Burbs, that would be the ideal solution and the one I will suggest to the SS, hopefully it doesn't fall on deaf ears. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Kitchen issue Pics 22Nov 13, 2012 3:07 pm Spoke to supervisor and he said he will get the plumbers back to cut the slab and extend the underfloor conduit back to the wall. We should be able to live with that. As long as we can tile over the area. Gas pipe will remain where it is and they will use an extended hose to connect the stove. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Roof Roof 23Nov 16, 2012 9:19 am The kitchen issue has been resolved, not pretty but it should be ok. http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000564.jpg We have a roof. http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000570.jpg north side http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000569.jpg west side http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000567.jpg south side http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000566.jpg east side I really like it. it stands out from amongst all the colorbond roofs that have gone up so far. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Roof Roof 24Nov 24, 2012 12:01 am went to check out the progress today (well every day actually ) all of the render is done apart from the portico pillars. kitchen http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000572.jpg master bedroom http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000575.jpg lounge/dining http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000571.jpg etc one thing I didnt like was someone decided to do what looks like a pee on my wardobe wall there is a portaloo right outside. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The front windows are west facing and are double glazed with one pane low e (smartglass sp10) and the other pane a grey tint float glass. The installer has put the low e pane on the inside pane for the fixed section of the window, but it is on the outside for the awning (opening) section. Surely they should be on the same side for both. This is how it is for the rear windows. The storm we had over the last couple of days has wet some of the ceiling plaster that was stored in the garage. I hope the builder will replace this gyprock rather than try to use it after it has been wet. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - ceilings and white set 27Dec 05, 2012 9:26 am Well things are moving right along. We have had the ceilings and most of the white plastering done. It should be in lockup next week. It looks like lockup will occur today. They delivered doors, window sills, shelving and skirting boards yesterday. Things are moving along nicely. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - lockup imminent 32Dec 07, 2012 2:46 pm Very exciting, now it's the time to look through windows and feel like a peeping tom Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - lockup imminent 33Dec 08, 2012 12:18 am Lockup done a couple of pics unpainted entrance door - may ask builder to put sidelight at back of the frame instead of the front. Kitchen - will also have a red glass splashback and french nougart essastone benches http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000608.jpg http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000610.jpg ensuite http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000606.jpg http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000607.jpg bathroom http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u36 ... 000612.jpg Can't believe how fast things are happening. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - lockup done - cabinets in 36Dec 21, 2012 9:25 am So frustrating not being able to get into the house after lockup. Things are happening , but slowly. Essa stone bench tops were installed this week along with skirting boards, window cills, main bath, some plumbing work. We are waiting for the spa to be delivered. It was ordered in September but they didnt start making it until a couple of weeks ago. It is on a truck somewhere between Perth and Melbourne, apparently. This is delaying the tiler from starting (plus we had to choose new wall tiles for the ensuite as the company had run out of the ones we chose). I just want it all to end. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - lockup done - cabinets in 37Jan 12, 2013 11:55 am I agree Pak, things feel like they go to a standstill when lock up! The worst is you can only see the progress through windows! I can't wait to see pics of the bath installed Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Bugger !!!! 38Jan 18, 2013 11:04 am WE have been waiting for our ensuite Spa to be delivered. Supposedly ordered in September, but the company didnt start making it until early December. Anyway, it was delivered last week and we have been waiting for it to be installed as it is holding up the tiling, which is holding up the electrician which is holding up the painter etc. They also have to remove the windows to get it into the ensuite. My better half managed to get into the house before it was installed and it is the wrong Spa. So now the builder has to get it picked up and replaced. Luckily we picked it up before it was installed, but more delays. there should be plenty for them to do while they are waiting for the replacement. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Bugger !!!! 39Jan 18, 2013 11:21 am hope the delays of the spa will not be long for you the house is looking lovely Re: Build in Landsdale Meadows - Bugger !!!! 40Jan 18, 2013 12:19 pm Supervisor recons about 4 weeks before a replacement will arrive , We originally were going to supply the spa ourselves but decided to let the builder sort it out, should have gone with our first thought at least we would have ordered the right one. -------------------------------------- Pakman Building with Domain/Plunkett build: viewtopic.php?t=59158 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2249 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 4419 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 5010 |
