It's so weird to steal shoes! Luckily, 3 out of 4 pairs were old. Rowland's good black shoes that he wears with a suit were stolen though Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 543Jul 14, 2013 12:55 pm Maybe some people ruined their own shoes in the mud while stealing from build sites overnight? So weird that Taylor's are fine but yours are gone. Going by Ragnar's suggestion we might see some local dogs wearing nice shoes! Does anyone have any recommendations on concreting and / or stormwater in southern Adelaide? Does anyone have any experiences with Beaumont tiles to share, we have found a floor tile we like there, and have our own tiler arranged. I think we will also look at Life's Tiles just to be sure. Thanks Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63022 19/1 Contract 3/7 Slctns 10/7 Bld Int 23/10 Land Settle 21/11 Slab 14/1 Frame 28/4 Kitchen Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 545Jul 21, 2013 11:19 am We are getting our tiles through Beaumonts and also went through them for our last house. No complaints so far. We went to life's Tiles when looking too and the guy there said they buy all their tiles wholesale through Beaumonts so it's actually the same stuff!! I can't help you with sormwater as our builder included the stomwater in the house price. Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 546Jul 21, 2013 4:28 pm hey everyone apparently a friend who lives in seaford meadows first stage said there is a known guy stealling anything in front of houses in seaford, seaford rise and seaford meadows. he is known by police but they havent been able to catch him. his even stolen a pram in front of a house. hope all is going well with everyones builds and people who have moved in. tammy your welcome to follow our build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64842 Block cut - 15th February 2014 Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 547Jul 28, 2013 11:44 pm Has anyone had Fairmont do concrete and stormwater for them? Were the final prices "fair"? And the work good? We can't get a private contractor to quote on either, and our bank deadline is this week, so looks like we may be left with no choice Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63022 19/1 Contract 3/7 Slctns 10/7 Bld Int 23/10 Land Settle 21/11 Slab 14/1 Frame 28/4 Kitchen Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 548Aug 09, 2013 9:28 am If anyone is doing storm water after hand over ask A&J Kennedy for a quote! Mine came in at under $1500. They are based near town but are looking to expand business down south and they have plumbers who live down this way so travel isn't an issue! Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 550Aug 09, 2013 2:15 pm Good, flat and large blocks will go quickly. They are only on hold for 7 days though so if people don't get themselves organised fast enough you always have another chance. I actually had two blocks on hold until I decided which one to go with. Not the norm but we got offered a chance at the second when we had the first on hold. Took a few days to decide. Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 553Aug 09, 2013 10:25 pm stormwater pipework isn't that difficult if you want to do it yourself.. hire a pipe trench digger for about 80 bucks for a weekend and it does the digging for ya' your stormwater layout is on the engineers report and the 90mm stormwater pipe is pretty reasonable.. Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 554Aug 09, 2013 11:10 pm Ooh is there a new release tomorrow? Which stage? Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 555Aug 10, 2013 2:08 am Ooops..sorry to get you excited...no new release yet! Was just thinking ahead! We are looking at land in some of the later releases (probably 12 onwards)...so still a long way off...but we love house talk and being organised and know the area pretty well already, so just wanted to ask Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 556Sep 18, 2013 8:09 pm It has been a while since we have been on here. To tell you the truth we had forgotten our password as it has to be 8 characters long and numbers and mixed cases...soo frustrating! Anyway we have moved into our home at League Street and loving it! Been here for just under 4 weeks now. Have a backyard..plus a few plants out the front...there is an issue with our concrete which needs to be redone by the builder as it wasn't done correctly and having issues with the neighbours regarding our fencing etc but that's another story altogether. Just wondering I heard the other day that Big W and Woolworths are moving from Seaford Shopping Centre...is there any truth in this rumour? - to Seaford Meadows. I know that Woolworths is meant to be there but didn't think it was moving. Seems a bit off to me... Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 557Sep 19, 2013 1:00 am How exciting to finally be in Trees! Hmmm not sure how reliable your source is...the new SM shopping centre is only big enough for Woolies, not Big W too. None of the companies leasing the smaller shops make mention of Big W either. I can't see either of them moving from the large mall...both of them are always very busy there. Am interested to see how busy the SM Woolies will be. I will still do my main shop at Foodland, but will use it for grabbing a few things here and there due to its convenience. Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 558Oct 01, 2013 9:15 pm Welcome to the neighbourhood Trees! Shops definitely not big enough for big w too. There's a plan somewhere with the shops that are going in. Will be a quick trip across the road for me! I'm hoping the land behind us will hurry up and start building. I'm so over the noise and the dust. Also, be aware! Not only were all my shoes stolen a couple of months ago, but my light globes from outside were stolen too. Been a bit worried that it was someone preparing to break in! Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 559Oct 01, 2013 10:29 pm Light bulbs. Seriously some people.... Think with warmer weather on the way we are going to have to get that BBQ organised in the reserve. Re: South @ Seaford Meadows 560Oct 02, 2013 12:47 am We had 1 lightbulb stolen not long after we moved in here too Sammy. I didn't like the fact they had walked right up past my car to get to it. Thankfully they didn't take the one right outside my bedroom windows or I would have really freaked out. Speaking of BBQ's...there are none at any of the parks. Is it something we suggest to council or developers? Same with bins at some of the parks. I really hope they add a post box when the shops are built too as I hate having to go for A drive to post stuff when I could just walk grrr! I think that's all I need to get off my chest for today lol Well these guys are not looking good... I sent them a written enquiry last week and they have not yet replied.
