Will have grey cabinets in scullery and laundry and white splashbacks with bascially the reverse. Unsure if ill do grey or white cabinets in bathroom/ensuites yet. Will do Laminex Pure mineralstone in wet areas if we dont go stone all over. But def stone in the kitchen Tukann Good selection of Essastone you have there Leanne...you can't go wrong with white/grey...neutral colours are always more effective. our entire home is based on white/black and grey, the only black is the kitchen bench tops, the tiles on the bathroom and ensuite floors will be grey, darker in the master bathroom and light tiles in ensuites.. with two shads of grey in the house... I have selected the shades of grey which i think will go quite well.. been doing allot of research on line and the two below pics are the ones that I like best this lighter shade of grey walls will be throughout the home minus the bedrooms/theater/ensuite http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Tukann/restofhousegreywalls.jpg this shade of grey wall will be in the bedrooms and the white timber shutters in the pic will be in the living/dining/kitchen windows http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Tukann/BedroomWallColoursTimberShutter.jpg Thats so funny im doing light grey through out house and darker greys in bedrooms haha. I will be doing dark grey floor tiles in& light grey wall tiles in the wet areas. Havent selected actual greys tho yet. Only experience ive had with grey paint is my daughters current feature wall in her room is Dulux Silkwort. May use that colour for all the walls in bedrooms or the dark shade 'Flooded Gum' Re: C Home Building Thread 6Aug 22, 2012 11:32 am Kitchen is going to look awesome with those tiles as splashback. Our firend who is building in same street as us is doing black/white kitchen. I wont be doing any feature tiles in the bathrooms etc. I like the colours youve chosen Re: C Home Building Thread 7Aug 22, 2012 11:48 am Re: C Home Building Thread 9Aug 22, 2012 1:04 pm Oh we also didn't put soap holders in shower & won't this time either. We don't use soap and don't like the look since wall tiles aren't white I'll prob go grey glass splashback in kitchen or a gloss Greg porcelain large tile Re: C Home Building Thread 10Aug 22, 2012 1:12 pm Ohh Leanne you're back on H1 Have you heard back from C homes with your new plans? I should drive past Ellenbrook display, what street is it on? Next house I want glass splashback, I would love a bright/standout one but then worry it would age or I wouldn't like it by the end. My parents just got new kitchen and put Metaline in as their splashback ,looks same as glass but cheaper. I like black and white kitchen, we've got in current house. Next house I'd like all white. The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: C Home Building Thread 12Aug 22, 2012 1:34 pm Yeah recess would be structural so prob too late.Yeah I'm doing all white, new basmati essa stone & grey splashback. Will have wood floors in there. Tukann I think we must have very similar tastes! I have huge painting you may be interested in (we wont be using it in new house so will sell it it's huge!) I'll be using green features in kitchen and main part of house to match my green kitchenaid. Even considering green bench stools! Haha Zarli - we got our drawings back yesterday. Just few little changes being made & it's off to costings! Display is on Aldington way - we won't be having feature bricks at front (will be render), will have pivot door not double & garage is wider haha. So yeah a bit diffferent Re: C Home Building Thread 14Aug 22, 2012 1:44 pm This painting is 100x200cm! Will see if photo on my phone Eta: I mainly got it due to size being great & fact it's an actual painting not a print. I would of preferred greens etc Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ignore daggy couch. Re: C Home Building Thread 19Aug 22, 2012 8:33 pm Its all happening for you now. We are nervously waiting for costings. We love all our changes so much and dont think theres anything we can remove if its too expensive. So i guess we just wait
