We are still waiting for the CDC approval. I thought we did last week, but still no reply from M. It is now 13 days since it was lodged, yet it took yours just 1 week. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 4Aug 21, 2012 1:55 pm It sucks that it varies so much. I did however liaise with the certifier prior to submitting the application to help ensure that all aspects were covered. Hopefully yours will be finished this week so you can move on to the next stage. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 5Aug 21, 2012 4:10 pm This new thread is great, as we are at pre-construction and thread 2.0 was getting full. Not that we minded reading over it time and time again, but we feel like we have the "whole journey" still ahead of us. Latest news - H2 slab total approx $5,700 - a great result from the possible E slab being at least $20,000 more..... (quoted by Seki@@@)!! Tender period extended for 30 days to 19 Sept. All variations costed and still going with the tripple garage. Plans are being drawn this week and have been told we will have them by COB Monday 27 Aug. These are final plans (no more changes) and M want us to proceed to contract and council once these are approved. WE HOPE WE WILL BE !! This has all gathered momentum after 'WE' telephoned Wawrick F and got one of the Management Team onto the problem. They have really been helpful (calling us back when they said they would) and chasing all concerned and getting results. Not that we should have had to do this, but we have received an apology or two along the way for the slowness from M. I truly hope the plans all come as advised....... Will keep you posted. 28/5 3.5K 1/8 Final Plans 20/9 Contracts/Selections 29/10 Council appr, CC 15/11 Scrape, peering 21/12 Slabbed, framed, bricks start 22/1 Bricks & roof comp 20/2 Lock up 5/4 Moved in and PCI Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 6Aug 21, 2012 4:14 pm Our CDC took 2 weeks, I think that is about the norm. 2 to 3 week turn around. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 7Aug 21, 2012 4:25 pm PowerballSam Our CDC took 2 weeks, I think that is about the norm. 2 to 3 week turn around. Finally got an email response from M, saying the certifier is at a seminar and will not be ready till Thursday! On another note, we sold the kitchen and it is coming out in 2 weeks! We hope it wont be too long after that, as we will not have a kitchen to cook any dinner The house is mostly packed away. Waiting for rental to be de-occupied so we can move in, and BooM! Demolition Day Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 9Aug 21, 2012 9:29 pm Vatche Ricaaaa we paid our deposit today....did our external selections yesterday, man that was full on but fun, what's the go with internal selection? Neville (sales rep) only talked about the external and going to the display centre. Welcome back Ricaaaa. You are only at the tip of the iceberg. Make sure you store lots and lots of patience, as you will need them for the next 6-8 months before any construction starts Nice selection of externals. We thought it was going to be easy selection as well, ended up taking most of the day! Get in contact with your sales rep and ask for the kitchen and internal catalogue, not normally included with the selection folder. it will make your internal selection easier. P.S. This forum is your Life Saver in this stupendous and momentous journey. Trust me on that I have zero patience but lucky my partner does so he should hopefully keep me sane! We are still saving our deposit so I guess on the plus side the whole process pre construction taking awhile is good. Have been trolling the forums for awhile and picked up so many helpful things both in this previous thread and the many others. Thanks for the tip will def get in touch with our sales rep, I believe he's back from leave this week so will give him a call I love seeing photos!!! people please post more Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 10Aug 21, 2012 10:37 pm Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 11Aug 21, 2012 11:03 pm nope, they give you $50 per day over the 34 weeks deadline. They take 20 days over christmas, so that's min 39 weeks and however many rain days they claim. People seem to get mixed results. Mine was close to 52 weeks.
free will Does mAsteron pay your rent if they go over contract time? How much? I mean it is just a fence Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 16Aug 22, 2012 2:51 pm Hi all, I'm loving reading all your posts and seeing the progress of your homes as I scan through the hundreds of pages! My fiancé and I are looking to build the villina 41 and start construction next year and we have a few questions I hope you can answer. We haven't officially met with them yet but want to know exactly what we're in for financially etc so we can go into a meeting well prepared 1. How do we find out how all these extras are going to cost us (ie raised ceilings, recesses in shower walls etc) if they aren't in the upgrade packages? 2. Are we able to get an idea of color ranges etc prior to the color selection day? 3. Is there any advice you would give us as we head into it? Cheers in advance Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 17Aug 22, 2012 3:00 pm B+K Hi all, I'm loving reading all your posts and seeing the progress of your homes as I scan through the hundreds of pages! Cheers in advance Welcome to the thread Version 3.0 Some of the questions are answered on the first page of the previous thread version 2.0, found here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=54119 Prices would have had slight increase, but it will give you a good indication. There are quite a few Villina owners on this thread, so looking the pages and photos will give you a good guide, not forgetting some blogs as well. Enjoy the ride to your new home. Make sure you pack lots and lots of patience Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 18Aug 22, 2012 3:11 pm We had the tiler back today to finish tiling up behind the range hood where the electricians damaged the gyprock. I'm sure none of you will be surprised to hear that the tiler has somehow managed to gauge out a piece of our brand new Bamboo flooring. Not only that the sne@ky little scumbag didn't tell us and tried to hide it using a box to cover it. Wow I am so over it now. Masterton can get f@$#%d. What does the wall tiling gotta do with the floor! How do they manage to be so incompetent! Don't these people have any idea about care and handling of other people's property?! Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 20Aug 22, 2012 4:45 pm I built the villina 36, without platinum package because masterton stuffed up my paper work, long story. The initial price on the brochure 280k is nowhere near how much it ended up costing me. I am near the 500k mark to get full OC.
