You were lucky Ricaaaa - we had ours in on the 1st March and are still waiting.
Expect something this week. Technically if you gave the letter on Friday, then Monday will start your 20 day.

Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1862Mar 11, 2013 3:07 pm Apart from the xmas shutdown for 4 weeks, the 20 day countdown seemed to take forever as nothing was done until the 14th day. Now its all over and done with Im actually missing waking up each day and looking out the wondow of the old place to see who was here and what was getting done. Loving the house though. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1864Mar 11, 2013 7:01 pm Our gyprock has been plastered. No photos and I have no access yet. Maybe this Thursday. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1865Mar 11, 2013 7:29 pm Vatche House has been gyprocked A sneak peek on the progress of the gyprock insulation so far. Haha didn't think you could stay out for too long, looking great though Vatche geez that took a while for you to get to the gyprock stage hopefully it will be all go at great speed from now on We've only just had the lower roof complete I assume the weatherboard at the back is complete who knows, we never get a call as requested to set up a walk thru so have never had one! You should be allowed a supervised visit every 2 weeks or so. Book with your SS and go in and have an official look where things are at. By law, they have to schedule when you require one. Previously, I was entering the site and checking items over my plans, my SS was happy with that till, I guess I found too many minor issues and he stopped me going in anymore. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1867Mar 12, 2013 5:49 am Vatche Our gyprock has been plastered. No photos and I have no access yet. Maybe this Thursday. Awesome Vatche! So exciting that your place is moving forward like this!!! Love the pics - will look forward to seeing more when you get back in with the SS! onebighappyfamily Thanks Vatche for that bit of teasing - my hubby thinks they won't do it till the 20th day anyway (as it seems everything has been like that). You were lucky Ricaaaa - we had ours in on the 1st March and are still waiting. The 20 days feels endless! At least starting at this time of the year you might miss the industry shutdown period so you won't have that wait as well! PS_Sirocco7 Weve been flat out for the last 2 weeks with working and moving our stuff in and sorting it out etc so I havent had much to update. We have actually been iving in the house for nearly 2 weeks now. We dont have a driveway or an OC yet as Im out of cash. Im not too worried about an OC as my neighbour has been living in Caravans for over 10 years now and they cant get rid of her so I doubt council will hassle me. We will get there eventually though. Fingers crossed they don't give you any grief over it. Here, they would keep hassling until it is all done. So happy you guys are enjoying your new place!!! They finished up most of the plumbing/electrical rough in here late last week and the roofers (finally!) came back and finished the securing of the last pieces of ridgecapping. According to what the SS told us last week the frame inspection should be happening today, insulation put in and the gyprocking done this week..... of course the gyprock has to be delivered first! We were reassured that the frames can stay uncovered for 6 months and the flooring for 3 before the rain should impact. I would be following up with your SS to get that walk through and see the extent of the damage and what they intend to do about it. I agree with Vatche - pretty sure you are entitled to a walk through every 2 weeks. We are organising one on a fortnightly basis now and we have just had all the externals completed and the rough-ins finished so according to what we've been told you should be gyprocking in the next few weeks. How long after you went into 20 days did you get advised on who your construction co-ordinator and SS were? I need to ask someone a question in regards to the SS (as three people I know who have built in my area two of them have recommended the same person as the other one is no good). I was asked if there was one I would like but at that stage I didnt know 'arthur from martha' as far as SS's are concerned. M will simply assign next available SS to your job. You will get a letter soon, possibly within the 20 days, informing who your assigned SS is, as well has his/her contact details. I would recommend, once you get the letter (or a call from Projects Manager who is responsible assigning SS for ajob), organise a meeting on site with the SS and get to know them. One question is useless, as you will not get an answer is "When do you think I'll get the keys?" For some example of detailed timelines, check out mine or few other's blogs on this thread, to give you an idea for the above question. And now we have to go back and select a totally new floor. I'd rather get it aftermarket, in retrospect. It would've been way cheaper, and they make you do it anyway, in terms of after handover. Same with carpet. That's just frustrating and annoying. Hopefully they have something very similar to what you originally picked. We got a few quotes from other places and for wooden floors and carpet Accent was heaps cheaper, tiles was another story it was almost 3 times the quotes we got from CTM and a few other places. Guess it does pay to shop around, also pending what specials etc are on at the time. my parents have that colour I love it but I love the darker colours more, on the downside makes a room smaller.....something to consider.... 4 17022 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
