Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1091Nov 29, 2012 12:34 pm MrsRose Hi Guys, The flooring is particleboard - generally yellow tongue - and can be exposed up to 3 months. It is not waterproof. http://www.gunnersens.com.au/products/building-products/particleboard/particleboard-flooring.html Cheers Thanks for the info, so it should be ok for 3 months even with the rain?? At what stage is it considered lock up? once the walls are put in?? Looks like brickies will be finished by tomorrow yay!! We were also told that the roof will be on by Christmas and that next Friday the bricks will be cleaned, Im assuming that the next steps are: roof trusses, gutters, sarking, roof tiles, is that correct? We were also told that the roof will be on by Christmas and that next Friday the bricks will be cleaned, Im assuming that the next steps are: roof trusses, gutters, sarking, roof tiles, is that correct? That order for the roof is correct. The gutters, fascias and valleys go on at the same time, then you will get a temporary safety barrier for the roof tilers installed. Then the roof tilers will install the sarking followed by the battens then the roof tiles. The ridge caps go on last and are cemented in place, also by the roof tilers. Lock-up is wall insulation and plasterboard installed, electrical cabling installed, roof tiles serviced (not sure what this is exactly - anyone know?), kitchen manufactured and front and back doors installed so it can be locked up and you get locked out. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1094Nov 29, 2012 8:28 pm Time for an update... Since having the frames and windows done on 19/11, things have been moving along nicely. We had the bricks delivered and the internal plumbing done on 22/11. Still no real start on the facade. I also booked in an independent building inspector who will look at the work at once the roof is up and when he organised a time with the SS, he was told 15th Dec!!! WOW! Can they really finish bricks and roof in 2 weeks?!?! Masterton Symphony MBTF @ The Ponds 2012 Mar. Commencement May. Plans Jun. Contracts Aug. Selections Sep. DA Oct. Construction Nov. Our bricks took 2 weeks and our roof took around 1 week. Allow around 3-4 weeks though as you will also have your fascias & gutters installed aswell as roof tile delivery and roof safety rail installation. In this period, you should also see your electrical and sentinal cable rough ins done. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1096Nov 29, 2012 8:47 pm PowerballSam As long as you keep Masterton in the loop the payments will not be a problem. I would start chsing up with your mortgage broker/bank thou. Sometimes they require more information and never tell you unitl you ring them up. Agreed! Our first payment went overdue because the bank was apparently waiting on documents that I had provided them 2 months prior. But did they ask?? NOPE! Only when we chased them up did they say anything. Then guess what... 2nd payment... LATE... for no apparent reason Masterton Symphony MBTF @ The Ponds 2012 Mar. Commencement May. Plans Jun.
