We've been taking advantage of the sales as well although the hubby has told me to stop until we get the house now because we've run out of storage space!!! Lol!!!!
Looking forward to the driveway pics Dani!!!
Gotta take advantage of the sales I reckon mid year sales are heaps better then the boxing day sales.
At least you have some storage space for new purchases, we have nil as staying at parents and their places is already full haha, but all the places we have been so far - Forty Winks, Harvey Norman and Domayne have been fantastic and have said they will put through the sale but flag it not to be delivered to their warehouse until mid/late October unless we call earlier. Great for us because we have locked in the sale prices!!!
My husband and I are looking at building the Villina 36 in Harrington Grove and have a few questions to help make our decision (and plan a budget) so would appreciate any feedback:
1. How was your overall experience with Masterton?
2. Who are the main suppliers and how did you find dealing with them?
3. Is the standard range of selections (tiles, carpet, kitchen) decent?
4. We heard putting about 100K above the base price should be sufficient, is this reasonable including site costs and bushfire proofing and some small upgrades?
5. Any other tips?
Thanks in advance
We have had nothing but a great experience with M, always helps the people you deal with and from sales through to SS. The people we have had to deal with have been fantastic!!!
Suppliers have also all been helpful and easy to deal with, I thought their range was decent even if you are not wanting to upgrade, which we didn't we stuck to the standard range.
Our sales rep estimated 100k over the base price and we only got to just under the 50k and we upgraded a decent amount.
My number 1 tip is go in with every possible extra/upgrade that you want so you can get the max price and then work backwards to eliminate things you can "live" without, also make sure you clarify and research when you want to upgrade items which aren't of the normal range. Our biggest example was we wanted low-e glass but ended up just getting tinted glass because we didn't do enough research and just assume that when we said low-e the sales rep also knew what "type" of low-e glass we were talking about.
We are building the Villina, it's an amazing house, every time we go look at the display home I'm so happy with our choice
If you do go with M i hope your experience is as good as ours has been so far!
