Our tiling in bathrooms have just been done.
And as far as I am concerned an absolute disaster.
We chose floor tiles 250x250 and wall tiles 250x450 so that grout lines could line up.
Tiles from the same manufacturer and "complimentary" according to tiling advisor.
On contract is mentioned 'please try and match groutlines'. Was advised by same person this was a good choice of tiles for matching the grout lines........specifically put in wall tiles vertically in stead of horizontally( although my preferred option) as to be able to get the effect of matching grout lines ......
Well..... The wall tiles absolutely do not match with floor tiles and worse shower recess tiling is not matching up with anything so it looks like a circus in there. What should have been a relaxing vibe has turned into the worst tiling job I have seen for a long time. This for sure is not the quality and care of work METR is normally showing in their spec homes!!!!!
We still have to do the handover so what options do we have???
I also have an email to L thanking for advise re choice of tiling and grout line matching etc... So it was not only verbally but also in writing and on the tiling contract...... Help please please please as I can see money go down the drain with such sub standard tiling ........Just to clarify: the try and match grout lines was all they could put on the contract, I tried very hard but that's all they are allowed to write (according to tiling advisor) and I should have been there for tiling work but I have a FIFO job.
