Stay away from Colorbond for your roof unless you like standing near a window anytime you want to make a mobile phone call.
Whilst the "faraday cage" effect can impact mobile phone reception, attributing poor mobile phone reception solely to a colorbond roof is nonsense. In any event, many tiled roofs have foil sarking which would have the exact same transmission properties as colorbond.
I would be questioning the adequate coverage of my mobile phone provider before making statements about roofing material.

On the upside will the colorbond roof help protects us from Energy Lifeforce Aliens?
seriously, never had a problem with my mobile under a tin roof
