Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 16, 2012 4:59 pm Hi All I’m currently building in the shire of Canning and on a recent appointment with a shire representative to discuss some issues regarding a crossover, they had pointed out an issue with the Side Entry Gully which is on the border between my neighbour. The council has requested that this needs to be changed to a sewer grate as it may likely cause complications if someone had a low profile car and damage their vehicle driving upon this and end up suing the shire. This is somewhat a rare circumstance that it has been placed in the middle of the borderline. As a rough estimated cost the shire representative advised 3-4k which is subject to a site assessment to quote. Bad news is that this will be coming out 50/50 with my neighbour with some contribution from the shire. Wouldn’t this be something that the shire should be taking care of as they had built this infrastructure.
