This process is instead of a suspended concrete slab and more economical. It has been suggested by our architect but need to research? Cheers... Anyhow I agree that the weight may cause an issue even if it's not a "real" concrete slab. All of the ground floor lights and services are run through the trusses.... Lots of builders use this approach over in WA.
