Your floors are amazing! Thanks Its boral silkwood pre-engineered in Jarrah. We got it off some classifieds for a pretty good price (about 45% off retail) We only laid them in the foyer, and the guy doing it promised he would protect it after, but he did a really bad job protecting them. Its pretty badly scratched already at the garage door entry. We kind of already wrote off these floorboards as we have a 21month bub and another due in January and expect them to destroy it, so deep down not tooooo worried about the scratches Re: Building Kool Design WRIGHT-ACT 18/9/12 KITCHEN is in! 24Oct 03, 2012 11:10 pm Posting to follow your build. That raked ceiling is amazing! Re: Building Kool Design WRIGHT-ACT 18/9/12 KITCHEN is in! 26Oct 19, 2012 9:22 pm Kitchen bulkhead is in. Looks ALOT better with it, glad we went with it. Looking on track to just scrape in before X-mas I think Re: Building Kool Design WRIGHT-ACT 18/9/12 KITCHEN is in! 27Oct 26, 2012 10:33 pm Painting started Wall colour is a bit of an oopsies, we went with british paints : mountain peak 418w and its a lot more blue then we expected. We are still ok with it, went out 3 times during the day to look at it in different light and while during the day, the blue comes through, during dusk w, the grey comes through so we are sticking with it. Will cost too much for us to re paint Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Here is a good pic showing how much difference the light can do when hitting it at a different angle. These 2 walls are the same color, same number of coats. The left wall is parallel to the window, wall on right is perpendicular. Re: Building Kool Design WRIGHT-ACT 26/10 painting started 29Nov 10, 2012 8:38 am Very Minor update Things been going soooooo slowly Electrical fit out was suppose to happen this week, but only 1/2 of it was done, which in turn means flooring that was going to go this weekend is now next weekend ....not sure why so slow. At least the switch plates look nice....clipsal stainless steel flush plates. Not sure if we will get on before Xmas now with all the delays Re: Building Kool Design WRIGHT-ACT 26/10 painting started 30Nov 16, 2012 10:21 pm Some updates finally! Bit of a stuff up here, they didn't cut the holes for the GPOS, so we will have to put one on the left hand side cabinet. I actually don't mind as the glass will be once piece now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Powder room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One of the built in's Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The better 1/2's clothe storage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One of my clipsal brushed metal switch plates. I scoured ebay for months to get these at 20 bucks a pop instead of the wholesale price of ~$45 (1 and 2 gang ones). I had to buy the 3gang and higher at wholesale . These were a pain in the proverbial to install according to my sparky, but even he said they look nice afterwards Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And front door stained! Re: Building in WRIGHT-ACT 16th November updated 31Nov 17, 2012 8:50 am Looks amazing!! Love those lights above the kitchen bench, exactly what I want in mine! Now to start looking for something similar over here in Perth... Good luck with it all, hope they speed up a bit and you get in by Xmas! Re: Building in WRIGHT-ACT 16th November updated 32Nov 17, 2012 10:09 am Thanks for the reply. The wife chose the pendants, it was a bit rushed as we needed to know the weight of them to see if the beams needed extra support. If i could change it, I would of got something abit more slimmer and sleeker, as our bench is only 3 metres long. Even so, we are happy with it....Deep down I do not think we will get in before X-mas, I have been told however it should be no problem, but I just don't see it happening Re: Building in WRIGHT-ACT 16th November updated 34Nov 19, 2012 12:43 pm hey unfunkable, your house looking really good. love your bathroom tiles and the kitchen pendants, did you need extra support for them or were they ok?
